Finally, he pulled me against his chest into a hug, his cock heavy and hot inside me, making me sticky and wet with him.

He smoothed a hand down my hair, holding me until my breathing calmed and my body was a puddle of melted muscle and satisfaction.

“So, the jealous girl and the lonely boy belonged together after all,” Beckett mused.

I tilted my head back to look at him.

“You said I belong to you,” I murmured the words from the other night, before the world had imploded. “Well, just so you know, you belong to me too.”

Beckett’s lips curved in a real smile. It was blinding in its beauty. “Damn right I do. And we belong together. Now, everything has changed,” he said in a faint rumble.

I nodded against his chest.

Yes, everything had changed.

Eve

Workingon the Econ project for Jefferies was the very last thing I wanted to do after what had happened with Beckett.

I felt like a different person, yet more myself than I ever had before. I loved him. I couldn’t deny it, even if I hadn’t told him that yet. I didn’t feel like I needed to, really; last night, I’d shown him.

I’d just had ice dancing practice, which had been fun as hell. It had felt amazing to dance and laugh with my new squad and just not think about anything heavy at all. It had been especially nice when the dancer who’d been assigned to Beckett came and asked me if she could switch with me to Marcus, since she had a crush on him. One thing going easily in my life was a relief.

Now, Isabelle and I were heading to the library, and Beckett was meeting me there later.

“Can you be addicted to sex if you’ve only done it like…ten times?” I asked Isabelle.

She considered her answer. “I don’t think you need to do something a lot of times to get addicted. I read that you can get addicted to heroin after one time.”

“Really? That’s scary,” I muttered and bit my thumbnail.

She laughed. “Just don’t accidentally do heroin. And I take it it’s Beckett who has you in a sex haze?”

“A sex haze? That’s the perfect name for it,” I muttered, nudging her with my elbow. “You have a word for everything.”

“Well, I am a journalist – I mean, I want to be one day, if I ever get off spell-check duty.”

“You’ll get there.”

“Yeah, but will I be old and gray is the question,” Isabelle grumbled. She stopped outside the entrance to the building. “Why are you coming back here at night?”

“Me and Beckett have a project to hand in soon, and we haven’t even started.”

“Too busy banging? Ask for an extension.”

I shot her a dark look. “The professor isn’t someone I like much. I don’t want to ask him for any favors.”

“Is he hot?” Isabelle asked.

“What? No. I mean, he’s not ugly or anything but…he makes my skin crawl.”

“That’s a bit much! It’s probably because of Beckett Anderson and the sex haze. Got it. I wouldn’t be able to look at other men, either. There’s just something about someone who’s so hot and mean…I get it.”

“He’s not mean, not really.”

Isabelle raised an eyebrow at me.

“Well, he’s not mean to me – anymore,” I tacked on.
