“Yeah…” Belle said.

Chandler straddled the bench to face Belle; her phone now behind her on the bench.

“So…” Chandler began.

“So,” Belle replied and cupped Chandler’s cheek.

“No one is here to interrupt us this time,” Chandler said, sliding a little forward on the bench and leaning into Belle’s touch.

“Yeah,” Belle said. “And even if they were, I’m not a kid anymore. I don’t care what they think. Do you?”

“Not in the slightest,” Chandler replied and leaned in.

Belle leaned in the rest of the way, too, and they connected their lips for the first time in a dozen years. They both hesitated for a moment, probably because of the magnitude of the situation, but then, Chandler’s lips began to move. Belle’s moved against them, and when Chandler let a little gasp and a moan escape, Belle moved her free hand to Chandler’s thigh. Chandler’s arms wrapped around Belle’s neck, and she pulled her in as close as they could get in their position.

“Chandler…” Belle let out.

“I know,” Chandler replied, and Belle didn’t even know what she’d been about to say, but, apparently, Chandler did.

Chandler then leaned back in and captured Belle’s lips again, deepening the kiss and running her hands into Belle’s hair. Belle’s hands were both on Chandler’s bare thighs, now sliding up the smooth expanse of skin.

“God,” Chandler let out and moved her lips to Belle’s neck. “Do we have to skate, or can we just keep doing this?”

“This,” Belle replied. “I vote for this.”

CHAPTER 30

“My ass hurts,” Chandler said.

“What?” Belle asked.

“We’re sitting on a wooden bench, Belle.”

“Oh.” Belle pulled her lips away from Chandler’s neck.

When Chandler stared into her eyes, Belle looked both turned on and in a daze.

“Let’s get out of here. I don’t want to lie down on this bench, but I need you closer. Your place?” Chandler asked. “It’s closer.” She pulled her in for another kiss.

“Yeah, okay. Um… I don’t have my truck.”

“I have an SUV,” she replied.

“Oh, right,” Belle said, still seemingly out of it. “You want to go to my place?”

“Yes.”

“For dinner? I still haven’t gone shopping. We can get something on the way if–”

“Belle, I don’t want to go to your place for dinner.” Chandler cupped her cheek. “I want to go back to your place for not dinner.”

“Oh,” Belle let out. “Really?”

Chandler nodded.

“It’s our first date.”

“Yeah, about a decade late.” Chandler kissed her. “Do you not want to?”
