“That’s when the Ruthless Kings of Carnage were originally born,” Zander admits. “We vowed that we’d not only rebuild our foundations from the ground up, but we’d do it as loudly as we could. We’d flaunt our power and assets, and when the time came when it was our turn to attend Leighton Royals University, we’d ensure we were the designated Kings of the season.”

“We knew a Maiden would be involved, but I guess we really didn’t think you’d be the best thing that happened, though,” I dare to admit.

I don’t grasp my words until they’re already out there.

“I’m the best thing that happened to you guys?” she quietly whispers and points to herself. “Y-You guys hate me.”

“We,” Zander notes as he points to me and then himself. “Never really ‘hated’ you. I mean, that’s our purpose. We can’t just ‘not’ hate you,” he tries to decipher out loud and needs a moment to think about it as he turns the car onto a private entrance block. “We’re the Ruthless Kings of Carnage. We have to project to all those witnessing our reign that we’re villainous. Malicious. Men who are so diabolical in nature that no one can stand us. It’s kind of why this agreement benefits us.”

“Any other woman would despise this arrangement,” I acknowledge. “Realistically, we’re not even sure if you truly hate it or not. We do know you’re forced into it by Mr. Prescott with this deal he made that we’ll only have you until your sister is of age.”

“Which I never agreed to,” Zander mutters.

“It’s not in the fine print somewhere?” she offers.

“If it is, I’ll just burn the shit to ashes,” Zander says casually, yet the way his eyes darken proves he means those words.

“And you?” she questions me, our faces now inches apart.

For a moment, I just focus on how pretty her face is. I don’t know why Domino keeps insulting her resting bitch face. I like that she doesn’t look super friendly or flirtatious like Scarlett was.

You can tell Verena has gone through some shit that has made her into a fierce woman in a society that doesn’t want her to prosper. I’d rather have someone as real as her in my presence than someone fake and with you for their underlying motives.

“I knew about it,” I truthfully admit. “At the time, I didn’t care. I’ve been with women. Plenty. Yet they were all the same. No bite in them. All seductive temptresses who only want me for something. My empire’s money. My own money. Some sort of exposure with me being scouted for various modeling gigs and contracts.”

“You got bored,” she concludes, which I like because there’s no need for me to break down why I couldn’t care less anymore.

“I got bored,” I repeat in agreement and sigh. Reaching out to play with her hair, I admire its shiny texture. “If I was going to deal with a woman being around me, being some fake bitch, then let me not do it alone. I figured sharing a woman with Domino and Zander would mean I’d just have to deal with her once or twice a week. With school as a key distraction, we’d barely have time together. Whoever we chose as Maiden would despise being around us outside of her duties, so it sounded like a dream come true.”

My eyes lower to her lap, and how I can’t help but further grip her thigh by inching my hand deeper between her legs. She remains relaxed, but I can see the hint of lust in her eyes.

Feel the warmth between these thick thighs and the lace material of her panties, which are stopping me from feeling how fucking wet she is.

“Then I came along,” she whispers, her eyes never leaving mine, which are locked onto her hooded gaze.

“Then you came along,” I agree once again and dare to lean in close, our lips barely touching. “And now, I don’t know if I want to just keep you at bay or devour you right here and now.”

The tension between us is palpable as the pumping blood rushes through my erect cock.

“AND we’re here!” Zander announces, breaking the spell between us.

We give him a look, and he chuckles menacingly while putting the car in park.

“See? We made it in one piece,” he declares before flicking his hand our way. “Now, shoo.”

“Shoo?” I question him while Verena tilts her head. “You’re not coming with us?”

“Nah.” He shakes his head. “I wanna do something real quick.”

I arch an eyebrow at him.

“With my ride?”

“I won’t destroy it,” he whines. “I’m not like Domino, who doesn’t give a shit about your precious cargo.”

He’s right about that, but I don’t trust him.

“You’ll bring her back in one piece?”
