Rose sighs, then opines, "Tats has had his eye on her for months. I wish she'd notice."

I give her a small smile, playing along for Violet. "Knowing the man you like sleeps around is a hard pill to swallow."

She nods. "My son never slept with another girl after you came along."

I smile and look down, not at all surprised that she's gone straight into it.

"I made sure he kept his dick in his pants, but you know when he fell apart. I stopped him from going all the way." She sighs and shakes her head. "I put the seed in Kallie's head, that she and Jonny could make it work. I never liked her, I hated that he married her and signed a prenuptial agreement behind our backs, but once they were married, I…." She looks me in the eyes with guilt. "I wanted his marriage to work. Growing up, it was ingrained in me that vows were sacred, and when he said they were divorcing, that he wasn't happy, I had hoped they'd work it out."

I swallow. "Then I came along?"

She smiles. "Then you and that adorable girl came along, and I saw how happy my son was, but a part of me had hoped his marriage would still pull through. I had hoped she'd changed. When you said Phil was your best friend, I struggled because I thought you would hurt my son, and when I saw the picture?—"

I cut her off, "You saw what you wanted to see."

She nods and says, "I did, and I regret that day. The way April screamed haunts me, Liv. I see that girl as my granddaughter, and I stood back, allowing my son to scare her. I allowed it to happen, thinking he would take Kallie back, and I'm so sorry for my part in it all."

I sniffle and wipe my cheek as a tear falls.

I shrug as I whisper, "I spent two years pushing him away. I didn't talk to him, I didn't ask the questions I should have, too scared for his answers." More tears fall as I look at Rose, her eyes softening. "I stayed away when I realized his ex was lying. I thought he deserved better than me because, if you love someone, you fight, you question their motives, and you certainly don't listen to a crazy ex stating he's just trying to use you to get back at her. I knew his character, I knew he wanted me, but I chose to ignore it all out of my stubbornness and pride. I lost two years with him, hurting him, my daughter, and myself."

She smiles before leaning forward. She grabs my wrist and places a bracelet on it, and my tears fall. It's the silver bracelet Jonny gave me with his and April's birthstones. It’s the bracelet I dropped during the BBQ hell.

I look at Rose in shock as she wipes away another tear on my cheek and rasps, "I'm sorry for the part I played in keeping you and my son apart. I'm sorry I made you believe they were still married and for not giving you a chance, for instantly thinking you were after a patch. And most of all, I'm sorry for threatening to hurt you, especially when you had April in your arms."

I give her a nod. "And I'm sorry for not doing this two years ago."

She gives me a smile as Violet rushes to the table, whispering, "Incoming bitch alert…" making us both look toward the door to see a very pissed Kallie storming our way.

I sigh and Rose snorts.

She stops at our table, placing her hands on her hips, growling, "What the hell is this, Rose? I thought you were trying to convince Jonny to take me back, you know, to get our marriage back on track, and now here you are with the patch chaser!"

I laugh; I can't help it. Rose smirks at me before looking at Kallie.

"The patch chaser living with my son at his house on club property? It's Smokey to you, Kallie. You've been divorced for about five years now. Grow up, leave my son and future daughter-in-law alone, and fuck off."

Kallie growls, her face going red as she stomps her foot and turns to hurry away. Rose and Violet chuckle while I blink at Rose, the words “future-daughter-in-law” pounding in my ears. Violet takes our orders with a grin.

We spend an hour talking and laughing, getting to know each other, before she asks if she could see the bakery. Apparently, Jonny banned everyone except the contractors from seeing it until I did. I smile, happy to take her there. We say bye to Violet before walking down the street to April's Treats. Rose tells me about the Untamed Hell Fire's old ladies and their little pranks on their old men. Apparently, the brothers all screwed up, nearly losing their women over the years, and now, it's payback.

They sound hilarious, and even Brook, Tech's new girl, and Snake’s woman, Sarah, are involved with the women and their pranks.

I smile at Rose as I open the door to my new bakery and walk inside.

"Oh Liv, our boy did good…."

I smile at her words when I hear a thump. I turn before my world falls into darkness.

I sigh as Phil drives out of Devil's Rose parking lot. I’m hating that he'll have April for a few nights, but I’m also looking forward to a dirty night with my girl.

The thought of my dick in her ass and fingers in her juicy wet pussy instantly makes me hard, and I grin before heading inside the bar to deal with the paperwork and payroll. Lola, Doc's sister, who started working here last week, gives me a smile as she cleans the glasses, her green eyes looking sad as always.

I lift my chin, hoping to try and get through to her, but she just shakes her head.
