“Umm, no, Walker, I did not pee on you. That was my water breaking. The baby is coming.” Kennedy says slowly, as if she's talking to a child and I don't blame her.
I turn her face towards me, placing a kiss on her lips. “I love you, Angel. Let's go meet our princess.”
“I love you, Walker, so much.” I lift her in my arms, gaining everyone's attention.
“So we are headed to the hospital. Kennedy's water just broke.” This time, I kept my composure. It's complete pandemonium after that, with everyone running around gathering our things and the kids. We make it to the hospital just in time and within two hours we welcome our little princess Olivia Grace into the world kicking and screaming and she is perfect. It's now 8 pm and everyone just left and it's just the three of us right now. While James and Lillian have the boys. Kennedy’s holding a sleeping Olivia, and I'm holding the two of them.
I kiss the top of Kennedy's head. “You did great, momma, she's perfect.”
“She is, isn't she? I love you, Walker, so damn much. Thank you for everything that you do for us.” A tear slips from her eye with all the emotions she is feeling.
“It's I, Angel, who should thank you. You are the one who keeps this family together. It's you who loves with your whole heart. You and our kids are my world, and I will do everything in my power to make sure you guys have everything you want. I love you, Angel, with all my heart and soul.”
Placing another kiss on her lips, tasting her tears and letting my lips linger. I take Olivia from her arms after she yawns, placing her in the bassinet. Walking back over to the bed, I wrap my world in my arms as she leans her head on my chest, falling asleep. I send up a silent prayer thanking God once again for this amazing life and the Angel he sent me because without her I would still be the lost soul. This chapter in our life might be over, but this is just the beginning for us, and I, for one, can't wait to see what happens next.
