By the time I went over the edge, my muscles were weak. He surged up, gripped the base of his cock at my entrance, and slid easily inside me. His hands gripped my hips in a possessive hold. “You’re mine.”

“I’m yours,” I repeated as he moved easily inside me, every movement hitting deep. It was like he wanted me to get the message. He loved me, and he wasn’t going anywhere.

I tried to show him that I felt the same by running my hands over his body and then pulling him down to kiss me.

He slowed his movements and lowered his body over mine. “You’re so beautiful.”

“You make me feel that way.”

He let out a groan, then kissed me, making me feel like I was his. I wanted to move in with him. I wanted to be all in like my mom was with John. But I also wanted to be careful. I didn’t want to jump into anything too soon.

We had history, but that didn’t mean that we should move quickly. We had plenty of time to figure things out. I just hoped that Talon would be patient.

He pressed on my clit, and it set me over the edge, my body spasming around his cock as he pressed still deeper. He groaned his release into my shoulder. When he lifted up slightly, he said, “I love you so much. I never stopped.”

I welcomed his body weight as I played with the strands of his hair. “I don’t think I did either.”

He shifted to the side. “I don’t want to spend holidays apart anymore.”

“We’re together,” I said, wondering where this intensity was coming from.

“This morning at Sebastian’s, I missed you. I wanted you by my side.”

Glad he felt the same way, I said, “I want that, too. It didn’t work out this year, but we can make more of an effort next time.”

Talon glanced at the clock on the nightstand and groaned. “I don’t want to move, but we should get ready for dinner.”

Holidays had traditionally been quiet for me. It was a change to be surrounded by his family.

We showered together, him washing me with the body wash before lifting me so that my back pressed against the tile as he surged inside me. I’d never get enough of him.

By the time we made it to Lori’s, everyone had already arrived, and they were holding dinner for us.

Heath bumped shoulders with Talon and raised a brow. “What took you so long?”

Talon smirked. “We had to exchange presents and all of that.”

“I just bet you did.”

Talon brought the book I made for him and handed it to his mother.

She opened it right there on the kitchen counter. “What’s this?”

“Holly put it together for me,” Talon said, with pride filling his voice.

Lori glanced up at me. “This is beautiful.”

“It’s all of my work and some notes about my inspiration.”

“Marley helped with the pictures and the insights,” I said, not wanting to take the credit.

“This must have taken a lot of time.”

“I worked on it anytime I wasn’t painting or blowing glass. I’m just happy it turned out so good.”

“Can I get a copy?” Lori asked me.

“I can have another copy printed,” I said.
