“Yeah, Cap—you got Ava with you?” Tex asked roughly.

Chills dotted Ava’s flesh at his tone. “I’m here, Keegan.”

“Ray patched me into your system. I’ve got something to show you,” Tex said.

“Go ahead, Tex,” Cap told him.

It took Ava a second to realize what she was seeing on the huge screen. It was a woman with long blonde hair running down a metropolitan city street. Two men pursued the woman, stopping periodically to shoot what looked like rifles at her.

“Tranq guns,” Holland said and he was staring at the screen intently.

The scene changed as the woman ran into a cemetery, hell bent for leather, and the men continued to pursue. The images came to them from several different CCTVs so it was a bit hard to follow.

One of the men nearly caught up to the woman when she stumbled in the graveyard. He raised his gun and fired. He hit the woman once but she continued to move through the cemetery.

Then she fell but before the two men could catch up to her, two young looking boys stepped out from behind a crypt at the center of the scene firing weapons that didn’t look like tranquilizer guns.

Both the men following the woman fell, dead. Then the two young men grabbed up the woman and disappeared behind the crypt.

“CCTV stops here, so we don’t know where they went but the woman was obviously struck by one of the tranq guns,” Tex reported.

“Why are you showing us this woman?” Ava asked.

“Look at her Ava—here, hold on, I’ve got a better image coming through now,” Tex said.

The woman’s face flashed on the screen and Ava nearly went to her knees. “No,” she whispered.

Cap came over to her immediately. Ava looked up at him, tears in her eyes.

“Olivia.”

“Hold on, everybody,” Cap warned. “Tex, where was this taken?”

“New Orleans,” Tex responded quickly. “I’ve got my contacts looking for her but there’s a decided lack of information coming in from my people down there. It’s like they’re trying to hide something.”

“How long ago was this?” Cap asked.

“A month according to the date on the CCTVs,” Tex stated.

“So this woman could be anywhere now,” Cap said to Holland. “I’ll give you that it looks almost exactly like Olivia, but Holland, don’t go off half-cocked. We’ll send Mann down to New Orleans.”

“I want to go with Holland,” Ava said in a low voice.

Cap looked at her and shook his head. “No, we’ll send Mann down and let him recon. Once we have firmer information we’ll head that way. But right now we’ve got people gunning for you, Ava. We’ll wait for them to move and then we take them down.”

She pulled away from Cap at that. “It’s my sister, Captain. We have to help her.”

Holland cleared his throat and rubbed his chest. Ava and Cap looked his way. “It’s her, Cap. I have to go.”

Cap nodded. He understood. If it was Ava nothing would keep him from getting to her. “You’re taking Mann, and no, Ava, you can’t go. I can’t keep you safe in New Orleans.”

“Holland?” she said, the question there in her voice.

He shook his head mournfully. “I agree with Cap. It’s best you stay here where we have a firmer foot to protect you.”

“The moment you know for sure?” she asked him.

“I’ll let you know immediately,” Holland told her. “Mann is almost here. I’m going to call the Cessna back up and get to Montana where we left the jet.”
