She imagined him straddling her. In her mind, she could see herself reaching up and touching his chest as he moved to fill her. In her fantasy, she could smell his unique scent, that constantly haunted her. It was intoxicating, and it was as though she couldn’t get enough of it.

A tingling sensation moved through her body. Olivia could feel the pressure of his chest against hers as he slowly moved in and out of her. She had a glimpse of his massive manhood and could only imagine how it would feel as he buried himself deep inside of her.

The sensations she imagined intermingled with his scent and a fire burned deep inside of her soul. She moaned as she felt the satisfying release explode out of her.

After washing herself, she snuggled back into bed, holding a pillow close to her body, imagining that she was cuddling with Zac. At first, she felt a little silly, but then she told herself that it was perfectly natural and acceptable to engage in fantasies.

Olivia met up with Jade at the mountain the next day, and they went for a trot through the woods. It was so beautiful on the mountain that Olivia had a hard time remembering that there was a world that existed nearby, that was so very different than this sweet place.

The two women ended up at the clearing near the creek. Olivia delighted in the pink and purple wildflowers that grew there.

Out of the blue, Jade asked, “What makes you think that Declan wasn’t just threatening to kill you? Some people just like to bluster and blow smoke.”

Olivia hesitated for a second before answering and then decided she may as well tell her the rest of it. In for a penny in for a pound, as her mother used to say.

“Declan had me drug from the alter to a cell in the back of the ceremonial cave. He came back several times to threaten me about how and why I was going to start the war. There was just an old bench and a bucket in the cell. No blankets, nothing. It was cold and wet. He was going to leave me there until I was killed, because dead, I couldn’t cause any trouble. My friend, Sandra, snuck in in the middle of the night and let me out. She left my car in the woods for me, packed with important stuff.”

“Oh my lord,” Jade gasped. “That’s awful.”

“I checked my email once since I’ve been here. My mom and Sandra have both said that he’s questioned them about my whereabouts. He’s not stopping, at least for now,” Olivia said.

“You have to tell Sean, Ian, and Zac the truth. They’ll protect you. They won’t let him kill you,” Jade said.

“No,” Olivia said, more sharply than she intended. “It sounds too stupid. Besides, I don’t want anyone to get hurt because of me. Promise me that you won’t say anything to anyone.”

Jade hesitated for a second and then said, “Okay, I promise.”

They were just about to leave when a shadow blocked out the sun. Both women looked up to see a beautiful silvery-green dragon flying overhead. He landed next to Jade and then shifted.

They embraced, and the dragon shifter tenderly kissed Jade. Then, he looked over and said, “Hello, I’m Marvin.”

She held her hand out to shake and said, “I’m Olivia. Pleased to meet you.”

Olivia didn’t feel awkward or embarrassed by the fact that she was talking to a completely naked stranger. Clothes were a hindrance for shifters, and his were probably stashed in some tree, anyway. Nakedness was second nature.

“What brings you to Angel’s Creek?” Marvin asked.

“Just looking for a change. Doing some exploring of the world,” Olivia replied.

“That sounds like fun,” Marvin said.

“What are you doing out and about?” Olivia asked.

“A lot of the dragon shifters and other shifters, too, are out looking for the missing bear shifter cub,” Marvin said. “With luck, we might be able to figure out where Marsden and her evil coven members are hiding out. The word is that she is somehow using the missing shifters to use in elixirs or spells that will help her take control of the supernatural world.”

“That’s evil,” Olivia said. “Can she really do that?”

“We don’t know. The problem is that she thinks that she can do that, and she’s hurting shifters from different clans to do it,” Marvin replied.

“Oh my lord,” Olivia breathed, unable to comprehend how someone could do something so diabolical.

Marvin hugged Jade and said, “I’ll see you soon.” He smiled at Olivia and said, “It was so nice to meet you.”

Then, he shifted into his dragon form and flew away.

“I think I picked the wrong town to run to. I’ve about had it with witches,” Olivia said.

“Don’t worry. I don’t think Marsden is into prophecies,” Jade said.
