“I hate it for the shifters that she’s taken. They must have been so frightened,” Olivia replied.

“Hopefully, they’ll be found soon,” Jade said. “We need to get going if we’re going to get to work on time,” Jade said.

Zac came in at his usual time. She brought him his beer and said, “I’ll go to the carnival with you.”

He smiled widely and said, “Awesome. It opens tomorrow night. Is that good for you?”

“Perfect. I’m off,” Olivia said.

A big, burly guy, sitting at one of the tables, waved at her. Sighing heavily, she headed over. This guy had been getting increasingly obnoxious throughout his visit.

“Are you going to go out with me?” he asked.

“Nope. What can I get for you?” she asked.

“Just you,” he said, reaching for her ass.

She swatted his hand away and said, “I’ve asked you not to touch me.”

“Isn’t that what you’re here for?” he asked and grabbed one of her breasts, squeezing it hard.

She saw both Sean and Zac head toward them out of the corner of her eye. However, before they got there, she grabbed his pinky finger and pulled it all the way back. Olivia jerked him out of the chair and twisted his arm up behind his back, never letting go of his pinky finger.

“I asked you nicely not to touch me,” Olivia said, pulling his arm up even further.

“Let go of me, bitch,” he demanded.

She used her other hand to force his face down and brought her knee up, straight into his nose and said, “That’s no way to talk to a woman you owe an apology to.”

Olivia pulled his arm up more, fairly certain it was going to break if it went any further.

“Okay, fine. I’m sorry, okay? Let me go.”

She let go of his pinky and arm and he stood, towering over her, looking down on her. Olivia stood, with her arms to her side, wearing a slight smile, waiting for him to make his move. Zac and Sean stood behind him, ready to pounce.

The man apparently decided that it was in his best interest if he left, so he turned to go.

Sean put a hand on his shoulder and said, “You have to settle up.”

Zac tugged on the metal chain that was attached to his leather wallet. He pulled two one hundred dollar bills out and handed them to Sean.

“This should cover his drinks, meal, and Olivia’s tip,” Zac said, staring into the man’s eyes, daring him to take the money back.

“You can’t…” he started to say.

“I can’t what?” Zac asked.

The man, who had apparently sobered up rather quickly, decided that this was a fight that he couldn’t win. He snatched his wallet out of Zac’s hands and stormed out of the bar.

The people who had witnessed the event started clapping.

“They got a dinner and a show, tonight,” Olivia said.

Several people called out, “Way to go” and “Nice job” to Olivia, who turned bright red.

Sean settled the guy’s bill and handed a hundred and fifty dollars back to Olivia. She gave half of it to Jade.

Zac went back to his table, and after her nerves had calmed a little, she went over to ask if she could get him anything else.
