“I don’t know. I guess I’ll find somewhere else to go. I can’t go back home, and I can’t stay here. I just don’t know,” Olivia said.

She forced herself to eat for the baby’s sake. No matter what had happened between her and Zac, she would love the baby with all of her heart. He would be a bittersweet memory that reminded her of the best times of her life. She would pick up the pieces of her heart and be the best mother she could be.

Zac

Zac walked into his office and looked around. “Nope.” He turned back around and decided to go for a run. He loved the forest and the mountain first thing in the morning. The peace settled around him and he felt a lot better.

He laughed at himself. When he was younger, he thought that being an alpha was the coolest thing in the world. He would be like the king of a country. He could sit on a throne, tell others what to do, and then go fishing or do whatever he wanted.

As an adult, he decided that being the alpha was a lot like being a babysitter. Except for the few emergency situations that came up, like Marsden, there was a lot of settling disputes, approving budgets, etc. He did like the fact that he could push for programs that helped the people, which was very satisfying.

The first thing he did after he dressed was check his phone. There were still no phone calls or text messages from Olivia.

What in the hell is going on?

Driving back to the office, his soul burned.

I miss Olivia. I miss talking to her. I miss hanging out with her. I just miss her.

Then, the obvious dawned on him. He had fallen in love with her. She was his fated mate and he needed her to be whole.

Maybe Jade would know, he thought.

As soon as he got back to the office, he called Jade.

“Good morning, Alpha,” Jade said. “How are you?”

“Worried,” he said. “I haven’t heard from Olivia. Is she okay?”

“She’s fine. She’s tried calling you several times, but it seems like you blocked her number. Olivia went to your house, but you weren’t there. She went to see you, but you were either not in or were busy and didn’t want to see her,” Jade said. “Tami told her that you never wanted to see her again because she started a war between her pack and ours and that some of our people got hurt.”

“What?” he asked, the rage starting to build inside of him.

“She figured that you didn’t want to see or talk to her anymore,” Jade said.

“I went by her hotel room, but Benny said that she wasn’t there anymore,” Zac said.

“She was staying with me while she finished healing,” Jade said. “She also has a new phone number because her old phone got destroyed during the fight in her hotel room.”

“Thank you,” Zac said.

His jaw clenched and his hands curled into fists, he took a deep breath, trying to tamp down his fury. Tami was supposed to be training Xavier and nothing else.

He thought about what Jade said. Olivia had tried calling him, but it was as though her number was blocked. Right now, there were only two people who could do that -- himself and Tami. He doubted that Xavier knew how to do that yet, and he wouldn’t have a reason to.

The desk outside of his office was empty. Neither Tami nor Xavier were in at the moment. Zac sat down and accessed the computer. He went to the phone company website and saw that Olivia’s new number was blocked. Tami had also managed to erase all of Olivia’s text messages and voice mails from his phone.

“That bitch,” he muttered under his breath. “What else has she been up to?”

He looked through her browser history and found that Tami had looked at a lot of the social media sites that had to do with Olivia and Declan.

A thought occurred to him. “She wouldn’t go that far, would she?” he asked.

Zac accessed Tami’s emails. His heart sank as he saw several emails between Tami and Declan.

Olivia is causing a lot of problems here in Angel’s Creek. She has put our alpha in danger when she got messed up with an evil witch here. I have seen online that you are looking for her. She is staying at the Angel’s Creek hotel in town. Please do something about her before she completely destroys our alpha.
