I respond with a gentle nod, resting my head against the strength of his shoulder, touched by the sincerity in his voice and the silvery glow of the rising moon. "Likely as much as I love you.”

"That would be impossible, little one," he counters, his voice dipped in a seductive timbre that, coupled with the warmth of his breath against my ear, sends an involuntary shiver down my spine. “Why do you think I brought you up here, sweetheart? What’s your hunch?”

"I have a feeling my man is ready to be a daddy," I say, pivoting to gauge his reaction, searching his face for any hint of confirmation.

“More than anything, sweetheart. In two years, I’ve gotten everything I never knew I wanted, and the only thing that’s missing is to have a family with the woman I love.” Adam brings his lips to mine and seals his sentiment with a tender kiss.

"Are you hinting that tonight's not just about admiring the moon?" I position myself more intimately atop his lap, allowing our kiss to evolve and deepen. Engulfed in the significance of this moment, it feels as though we're on the verge of embarking on what could be our greatest collaboration yet.

“I’m way past hints, little one.”

“And I’m more than ready to give you an answer.” Pulse pounding, my heart overflowing with love, I say the words he’s longing to hear. “Let’s make a baby, Daddy.”
