"I know, right? Two episodes and they've already been through so much. I wonder how they're going to survive for fifteen whole seasons," Dakota mused, and Star chuckled.

"I have a feeling we'll be seeing some really unexpected things."

"I think we're going to enjoy the heck out of this show," I said as I started the next episode.

As we continued watching, we discovered that Dakota could be a scaredy-cat sometimes—he really hated the episodes that were more horror-themed with ghosts and stuff—and that Nico could get unhealthily involved in the storylines. We also learned that I loved shouting instructions at the characters and getting annoyed when they didn't follow it, and that Star was enjoying this show so much that he didn't even fall asleep.

When lunch time rolled around, I managed to convince Nico to order in so we could continue watching, and we ordered pizza with a variety of toppings. My choices were apparently 'too adventurous' for the others—caramelized onions, salmon, and pineapple, all on different slices, of course—and we had a bunch of leftovers after everyone had eaten their fill.

We continued watching after lunch—we'd stopped at the tenth episode—and I had to admit I was hooked. The supes on the show were nothing like the ones in real life, which just made it all the more fun. I loved watching all the creative ideas humans came up with regarding supernatural beings, and the eye candy wasn't bad either.

"Welp, looks like Star reached his limit," I said when I caught sight of his sleeping face, and Dakota glanced over from where he lay on Nico's other side—Nico was between me and Dakota now—and smiled when he spotted Star. Moon and Candy had decided they also wanted to be a part of the cuddle pile, and Moon was now asleep on Star's stomach, while Candy was curled up near our feet.

"He looks so peaceful," Dakota murmured, and I hummed. Star always looked the most relaxed when he was asleep, though his smirk was my favorite expression of his. He looked like such a bad boy, and it never failed to make my belly flutter.

"I like his smirk best, though," Nico said, and I grinned.

"Right?" I exclaimed, and we shared a look of mutual understanding as Nico nodded in eager agreement.

"I'm more partial to the soft look he gets when he's sleepy but not asleep," Dakota mused, and oh, Star looked pretty cute like that too!

"Dakota! You're confusing me. How am I supposed to pick a favorite now?" I whined, making him laugh.

"Are we watching the show or what?" Star grumbled, almost making me jump.

"Oh! You're awake!" I grinned as I turned to drop a kiss on his cheek, and he tried to swat me off like I was a fly.

"I was just resting my eyes," he said, and I blinked. Wait. Did that mean he'd heard our conversation?

I didn't mind Star overhearing, since I was talking about him, but judging by the blush on Nico and Dakota's faces, they did. I didn't get why they were embarrassed, but then again, I was usually pretty straightforward, especially when it came to telling someone all the reasons why I adored them.

Star

While it was a little embarrassing to hear my mates talking about me, it also made me happy.

When you were in a relationship with three other people, there were times when you couldn't help feeling like a spare.

It wasn't intentional, and it wasn't because of anything the others did. It was just your own insecurities making you imagine problems where none existed.

Which was why hearing Ryk, Nico, and Dakota talk about me made me happy. It was nice to know I wasn't forgotten even when I was asleep. More than the words Dakota and Ryk had said earlier, this showed me their true feelings for me.

But the words meant a lot to Dakota and Ryk, and even Nico too, so it was probably time I told them.

"I love you," I said in a low whisper, just to try out the words. The show was at a noisy, fighting-the-monster bit, so I didn't think the others would hear, even Nico and Ryk with their super-hearing.

Of course, when I said the words was exactly when the show went silent, and three sets of eyes whipped to me as the fight on screen continued.

Ryk scrambled for the remote control and quickly paused the show while Nico and Dakota continued staring at me. How loud was I that even Dakota heard me?

"What did you say?" Ryk demanded when I kept my mouth shut, and I shrugged. It was overwhelming to have all of their attention on me. I didn't think it'd happened before.

"Hey, Ryk? Let's give Star some breathing room," Dakota said, and I shot him a grateful look as he physically pulled Ryk back so he wasn't almost straddling me anymore.

"Oh! Sorry," Ryk said sheepishly as he sat back, making me smile.

"It's okay," I said as I sat up, then took a deep breath. "I just wanted to say that I love you too, all three of you. So there. Now can we resume the show?" I asked as my cheeks heated up. Ignoring the warmth on my cheeks and the others, I turned my attention back to the screen.

"Awww, you're such a sweetheart," Ryk said as he threw his arms around my neck and pressed a kiss to my forehead.
