Nissa was trouble, pure and simple. With how quickly she’d captured my attention, I feared one taste would lead me down a path toward the whole it’s not you, it’s me chat that ended with me attempting to patch my heart back up.

But I couldn’t find the willpower to put space between our tightly pressed bodies, couldn’t keep from focusing on her mouth and groaning when she licked her lower lip.

The song slowly faded, and another dance beat thrummed the air.

Time to walk away, but we both stood frozen, wrapped up in the warm cocoon of each other’s arms. My heart thrummed along with the heavy bass, every pulse of blood throbbing in my balls.

Her pupils dilated, and she sucked her lower lip between her teeth.

My length jerked against her, and I swallowed hard to keep my resulting groan contained.

“I’m thirsty.” Nissa stepped back and took my hand, and I found myself trailing along behind her on numb legs like a lamb to slaughter toward that damn free fall to my death. The softness of her palm against mine promised sweet caresses, the sure steps in those silver heels taken without hesitation.

My gaze trailed from the top of her dark head down the long tresses allowing me glimpses of red silk.

And that ass…

Goddamn, those small flexing cheeks would look amazing with my fingerprints all over them.

She came to a stop in front of me while a low moan still rumbled in my chest. “White Zin,” Nissa told the bartender. “Leo?” She busted me for salivating over her backside with a glance over her shoulder.

Clearing my throat, I found my voice to ask for water.

Our gazes held while the bartender fulfilled our orders, our hands still firmly clasped as though neither of us wanted to break the contact. Heat seemed to crackle the air around us, and I became desperate to rip off my tie.

The bartender returned, intruding on our moment of stifling silence and causing the physical connection between us, at least, to end. The tension only heightened.

Drinks in hand, our eyes once more met.

“To the night ahead,” Nissa murmured, her voice oozing sexual intent.

I clinked my glass to hers, scrambling for something goofy to say while taking a sip—but she wasn’t done.

“May it be filled with lots of fucking and multiple orgasms.”

I choked on my mouthful of water.

What the hell had Ciarra been thinking?

Chapter 2

Nissa

Ciarra had butted into my life as usual—Miss Goody Two-shoes—ending my dance with a drunk asshole, a seemingly perfect book boyfriend type I’d set my sights on for the night.

But for once, the annoyance with her cleared from my mind almost as quickly as it had started.

Leo had stood gazing down at me with his striking hazel-green eyes after she’d introduced us.

A gorgeous, delicious-looking friend of my pain in the ass sister, just tall enough to make me feel he could take care of me. He was my opposite in every other way.

Dirty blond, sweet, and timid when it came to women.

Totally not my type regardless of his being hot as hell.

But, color me intrigued by the hint of gold around his pupils, the firm hold of his hands on my waist when we’d danced, and the hard length he’d sported within seconds of my purposefully brushing against him.

Gotta love a man who got turned on—and fast—when you pressed all up in his space.
