I shook my head. “She knew about your reputation before the two of you started dating. I just don’t understand why she stays with you.”

“Fucking asshole,” he muttered.

“What was that?” I growled. No one got under my skin the way Corey did. It had been a minor miracle that we’d made it through filming without killing each other.

“I’m ready to go,” Harmony announced as she stepped out of the bathroom, ending the pissing contest in the hallway.

Grabbing her hand again, I shoulder-checked Corey as we passed him and Millie. “Tell Claudia hi for me when you talk to her.”

I assumed that was the last word, but as I reached the door, he said, “I will, if you say hi to your sister.”

His words stopped me in my tracks, and before I thought better of it, I rushed him and rammed my fist into his nose. The girls screamed for us to stop as we swung at each other. All hell broke loose as we continued to throw punches and a few minutes later, security rushed in and pulled us apart.

The flash of a camera, followed by a few more, caught my attention, and I realized the paparazzi had made their way inside the event. Who knew how much of the fight they witnessed, but even if they didn’t capture pictures of us throwing punches, it was likely some of the partygoers had recorded it on their phones. It wouldn’t be long before the photos and video hit the web, and it would be all the gossip sites talked about for days.

I peeked at my reflection in the men’s room mirror when someone came out and found no evidence of the fight. Corey had been so fucked up that he managed to only land one lucky shot to my ribs. Too bad for him, I hadn’t had the same problem. Based on the amount of blood on his face, I was pretty sure I’d broken his nose.

“You need to leave,” one of the bouncers said as he grabbed my arm. I shook him off and left, going out the back door with Harmony right behind me. I spotted my driver immediately as he stood by the open door of a black Cadillac Escalade.

“That’s me.” I placed my hand on Harmony’s lower back and directed her toward the car.

“Am I taking you back to your place, Mr. Roberts?” Martin asked as Harmony slid across the seat.

Martin had been my driver for a couple of years and saw me with a lot of women, but I didn’t always allow them to come back to my house.

“Yes.” I winked and climbed inside.

When Martin closed the door, Harmony grabbed my hand and ran her fingers across my knuckles. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah.” I pulled my hand away from hers and began caressing her leg instead. I leaned in and kissed her neck while my fingers traveled under the hem of her short dress.

She pulled the fabric higher to straddle my lap and kissed me deeply. Breaking away for a second, I pushed the button to lift the privacy glass. As I went to kiss her again, my phone rang.

I contemplated letting it go to voicemail but saw my publicist’s name flash on the screen. He hadn’t attended the party, but that didn’t mean he hadn’t heard about what had gone down a couple of minutes prior.

“Sorry, I have to answer this.” I tapped the button to accept the call. “Hey, Tommy.”

“Where the hell are you?” he yelled into the phone.

“Calm down. I’m headed home.”

“Alone?”

I laughed. “Yeah, right.”

“Don’t laugh. It sounds like you’ve had enough drama tonight without some chick causing more problems.”

I worried Harmony could hear Tommy through the phone, but if she did, it didn’t seem to bother her as she worked on unbuttoning my shirt. Still, I wanted to move the conversation along. “It won’t be a problem. Now, did you need something?”

“Yeah, you can tell me what happened with Corey. Someone said you knocked him out.”

I rolled my eyes. The story was problematic enough without people embellishing the details. “He was acting like an ass, and I punched him. No big deal.”

“You can’t go around punching people—”

“He said some shit that crossed a line. I’m not going to let him run his mouth.” I didn’t need a fucking lecture.

“I understand that, man. I do. But this is a huge story. I’ll have my work cut out for me over the next few days.”
