He indulges me. "What?"

I shrug, smirking more. "A man who knows what she wants and gives it to her."

This is crazy, I think to myself, but my heart is racing with the anticipation of what he could do.

"Is that so?" he murmurs, stepping closer to me.

I nod, biting my lip in anticipation. I can feel the heat rising to my cheeks as I look up at him, my heart pounding in my chest. He leans down, his lips hovering just inches from mine, and I close my eyes, waiting for his kiss.

But instead of kissing me, he speaks, his voice low and fierce in my ear. "You have no idea what you're asking for."

"I think I do," I whisper back.

At last, he confesses, "I am jealous."

I open my eyes, surprised to hear him admit it. His eyes are intense, and I can feel the heat of his body against mine. My heart flutters with excitement at his admission. His jealousy only makes me want him more, and I know that he wants me just as badly.

"I know," I say with a smile, stepping closer to him and running my hands up his chest. Then I ask softly, "Why?"

His hands find their way onto my waist, and he pulls me closer. "Because he's had you twice now, and I haven't had you at all," he admits. "And I want you so badly, Mia."

His lips crash onto mine with such force that I'm momentarily stunned before I deepen the kiss. My hands find their way into his hair, pulling him even closer as we kiss with abandon.

Our bodies press together, and Xavier's hands slide down my back, pulling me even closer until there's no air between us. The kiss is passionate and fierce, a storm raging within both of us as we explore each other's mouths with growing hunger.

Suddenly, he breaks the kiss and steps back, both of us panting for air.

"Did you have a nice night?" he asks, completely baffling me.

"W-what?" I stammer.

"You and Antonio. Did you have a nice night?" His eyes burn into mine, the intensity palpable as he waits for my answer.

"Yes," I admit. "But—" My mind reels as I try to understand his sudden change. "Why do you care?" I'm trying to make sense of it, but I find that I can't.

"Don't give me that," he growls. "You know exactly why I care."

I bite my lip, trying to think of a response. He's jealous! The burning desire in his gaze tells me all I need to know.

"I can show you a better night," he promises me, offering something he knows I can't resist.

"You know," I speak up at last, smiling seductively, "you really are cute when you're jealous."

His body language is aggressive as he pins me against the wall and leans down slightly to stare me down like a wild predator cornering its prey.

Oh, boy...

XAVIER

“Keep pushing my buttons, darling, and you’ll regret it, “ I warn her, devouring the sight of her gazing up at me with big, round eyes.

Mia's slender, manicured finger reaches out between us and hooks into my shirt, popping one of the buttons open and letting out a faint "Oops" before meeting my stare innocently.

"You mean like that?" she asks.

She's really asking for it, isn't she?
