"Mia," Lucas looks at me, my heart sinking as I see that pleading look in his eyes. "Run."

Mia looks at me, eyes wide and teary, but unmoving.
"It isn't safe," I insist, gritting the words out through the pain of my busted nose. "Please, g- augh!"
The sole of Antonio's boot presses down harder on my hand, silencing me with excruciating pain. I clench my jaw to prevent another cry, realizing the futility of my attempt to protect Mia from the wrath of these men.
"Admit it," Xavier growls.

Antonio inches closer, his gaze cold and calculating. "Do you know what happens to traitors in our line of work?"
I bite my lip, the taste of blood filling my mouth. I knew this day would come eventually - the day when my cover would be blown, and I'd be forced to face the consequences of my actions. But I never expected it to end like this.
Xavier smirks at my admittance while Antonio's foot grinds down harder on my hand. I bite back a scream, refusing to give them the satisfaction of seeing me break. Mia steps forward, her trembling form inching closer to me. She looks at me with a mix of fear and confusion, her eyes begging me to explain.
"It's true?" she asks with a trembling voice that stabs at my chest.
"I've been working for the FBI," I explain. "They sent me here to take down your organization."
Xavier and Antonio exchange a look, and for a moment, I think they might not believe me. But then something shifts in Xavier's expression, and I can see the wheels turning in his head.
"I see," he says slowly. "And what do they want from me?"
"They want you behind bars," I tell him, my heart racing in my chest. "They know about all of your illegal activities – the drugs, the money laundering, the murders. They have enough evidence to put you away for life."
Xavier's eyes narrow further, but he doesn't look surprised. "You think I didn't know that?" he asks, his voice low.
I swallow hard.
"You would betray us after all we've done for you?" Xavier snarls, his eyes ablaze with fury.
I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what comes next. It’s no use hiding anymore; they’ll find out sooner or later.
"My mission was to infiltrate your ranks and bring you down," I say, watching as their faces contort with rage. "But things changed. I fell for Mia."
Antonio sneers at me, his features twisting into a scowl. "How convenient that you would fall in love with the same girl as us."
