“I see you,” Leo said. His index finger curled under her chin before his mouth landed on hers. His lips and his tongue were slow and searching until the heat picked up again and her core was begging for his cock. “You don’t even know how much I see you.”

With her head tipped back so Leo could kiss down her throat, Piper pulled her arms from the sleeves of her dress and let the material fall down her torso. When it pooled at her hips, she got exactly what she wanted—for Leo to see more of her. She had gone without a bra, so her breasts were bare and already getting attention from Leo’s hot mouth as he sucked at a taut nipple. She liked being bent over the desk, but her naked skin against Leo’s hands and tongue felt freeing, warm, and loving, even if he didn’t mean for his body to love her.

“I see you, too.” She moved out to the very edge of the desk and reached for his cock, pulling him to where he belonged.

They rocked together slowly at first, Piper with her eyes closed. The underwear that was still pushed to the side hit her clit perfectly as he pushed home.

“Piper, fuck—just like this.”

“Wait for me,” Piper whispered. Leo jerked his head in a nod and took several shaky breaths as he drew back and forward. She could tell how hard he was holding back, his muscles shaking with the strain of it before she joined him, and her body ached with a building release. “Leo.” His name was the only thing she could think to say as her orgasm crested and washed over her, but he knew what she meant and only had to thrust one more time before he followed her. Their breaths were ragged as he pulled her up to a sitting position again and pressed his forehead into hers, eyelashes fanned and fluttering against his cheeks. “Good boy,” she praised.

A smile spread across Leo’s face as he slowly shook his head, chuckling. “Woof,” he joked and bent to kiss her slowly until she was smiling against his lips, too.

A giggle escaped her throat when they broke apart.

Leo shook his head as he tucked himself back into his pants. “You’re so demeaning.” The devilish glint in his eye said it didn’t bother him at all, and his words immediately after confirmed it. “Feel free to boss me around and reward me for being good anytime.”

“You should say ‘during sex,’ or I’ll start doing it in normal conversation,” Piper teased and hopped off the edge of the desk, righting her dress.

Leo reached for the box of tissues on his desk. “Wear that, and I won’t care what you do to me.”

“What is it with men and dresses?”

“You know those knitted knee-high socks you wore to dinner at my parents’ house over Thanksgiving break? I’d take you in those, too.” He held out the box, and she took a tissue before reaching under the slit of her dress to clean herself. “Just the socks,” he clarified.

“Noted.” Piper laughed and did a quick swipe over the mess in between her legs. Her underwear was still going to be wet, but it was the best she could do for now. She raised an eyebrow at Leo when he started to rearrange the papers on his desk back to the way they had been before.

“I like my layout,” he explained.

“What about the used coffee mug?”

“Casualty of war. I was here too late working on something, and I fell asleep at the desk.”

“What were you working on?”

“A side project.” Leo moved and replaced a leather-bound journal that she recognized as the one that usually sat in his room untouched. The one he had said he was going to use for something important. The pages were raised with ink and lifting apart from one another, indicating that he had opened and written in it several times.

“Oh? Do tell.” Piper was trying to sound casual and not too eager, but it came out that way nonetheless.

“It’s a little early. I’ll tell you later,” Leo said.

Piper’s face fell as her hand fiddled with the sunflower hanging from her neck. The unsettled feeling in her gut said Leo would never trust her or feel the same. He would make her feel like she was on cloud nine one moment, desperate for her opinions and her direction in bed, then slam the door closed the next. Maybe she wasn’t the person he wanted to tell his ideas to.

“Sure.” Piper gave him a curt nod. “I should get going.” She whipped toward the door and threw it open, barreling into the hallway as her face went hot and tears threatened to prick her eyes.

“Piper!” Leo stumbled after her and grabbed her hand, pulling her back and flipping her around to meet him. She landed with a thud against his chest. “Why are you running away from me?”

Piper swallowed, her mouth dry and bitter. “Do you still hate me? Or are we friends?”

“Of course I don’t hate you.” Leo looked pissed. “After everything, how could you think I hate you? That,” he pointed aggressively at the door to his office, “that is not what two people who hate each other do, Piper.”

She looked back at the door and bit her lip. “I don’t know what this is anymore,” she whispered.

“I do.” He stepped toward her, but then his eyes widened, and he backed away as the sound of footfalls grew nearer. Piper’s heart sank. He was still embarrassed to be seen with her. “Elliot.” Leo’s head bobbed in greeting at the person who had walked into the hallway.

“Hey, just the people I was looking for.” Elliot’s smile was practically glowing in the dim lighting. No doubt he was still on a high from the ample praise their set design had garnered from the audience earlier. “I locked up.” He passed over a large key ring to Leo.

“Thanks.” Leo offered a small nod of acknowledgment.
