Aria
He has hooked me up to an intravenous drip that contains some drug that makes pregnant women go into labor. I'm not sure what he mumbled exactly, but right now, I only hope that my labor is slow, because he can't get his hands on my baby. I won't allow it. I can't. I’ll die trying to get us out of here.
I don't know how long I've been watching the liquid drip into my arm, but already I can feel slight cramps in my lower stomach. I don't know if it's this mattress, but my back is in agony. I try to block out the pain in any way I can. I think about Caleb, his kind touch, his warm hugs and sweet kisses. Waking up to him in the morning is the best feeling in the world. Only now, the pain is getting stronger, and before long, nothing is going to distract me from it.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see movement from the desk in the far corner. This bastard is walking towards me. He kneels on the ground beside me and places his hand over my stomach. I want to rip his hands off me, but I bite my tongue and remain calm. The only man’s hands I want caressing my stomach is Caleb’s.
"Progressing nicely," he says.
"H-how do you know? You could be killing him!" I cry.
If there’s a God up there he'll keep my baby safe. I don't care about myself; he can do what he likes to me. I'm at the stage now that I know I'm ever going to be free from this asshole.
"Now, now, Aria. You underestimate me. Do you really think I'd put my flesh and blood in danger? I know what I'm doing. You can find out anything online. "
"O-online! You're crazy! Please, let my baby go. I'll do anything you want." I bite down on my lip to hide the piercing pain that shoots through my tummy.
"Why would I do that? That cop has had you long enough. Now, shut up and let me concentrate."
I can see it doesn't matter what I say. This man is insane. He's warped in the head and nothing will get through to him. Nothing.
My fate is in the hands of a psychopath.
