“I’ll give you a tour.”

“While you do that,” Luke slipped his arm around me again, “I’m going to go shower, then head to my house to get a few things.” His phone vibrated against my leg, and he took it out, showing me Ian on the screen. He answered.

Hello?

Yeah, just walked into Jade’s a few minutes ago. What’s up?

He darted his eyes back and forth at us for a minute. Are you sure?

Alright then. We’ll be there. He slipped his phone back in his pocket.

I arched a brow.

“Correction,” he shrugged. “I’m going to shower and then we’re going to go grab food and head up to work.”

“I haven’t gotten a call?” I slipped my phone from my pocket, looking at the screen.

“No,” he picked up his bag, striding to the stairs. “He said to pass on the message.”

Introductions were brief when we arrived. Ian, Chance, and Tyler were in Ian’s office. Luke excused himself and disappeared to meet with them. Maddie settled in Jenna’s office and began watching a movie on her tablet.

Jenna, who wasn’t interested in dancing tonight, volunteered to watch the children upstairs. She quickly excused herself after spending a few minutes chatting with us. Her demeanor was friendly yet reserved.

Amber was stretched out on the couch, going over some changes Ian made to the dancers. “Roxy called.”

My eyes lit up. “She did?!”

She set the iPad down on the coffee table. “Yeah, she wants to meet with Ian in a few weeks.”

“Good!”

“Who’s Roxy?” Giovanna asked.

Amber huffed. “Girl, there’s so much about this club you’ll find out. And there are things about this club you’ll never find out because of the mess it’ll drag you into like it did us and it’s this dark?—”

“She’s Luca Aggio’s sister,” I interjected.

Amber’s mouth fell agape. “Shit!”

Giovanna giggled. “Yeah, I get that a lot.”

“My husband did not tell me that part!”

Ian’s office door opened, and he waltzed out, followed by Tyler, Luke, and Chance. They came to a stop in front of us with Ian commenting to Luke about how much he loved the name, Luxe, for the club extension. Tyler stood on the other side of Ian while they both sized up Giovanna in silence.

Ian was the first to speak. “Miss Aggio.”

She dipped her head. “I assume you’re Mr. Knight?”

“Never assume anything around here,” he smirked, “but yes, I’m Mr. Knight. This is my brother-in-law and lawyer, Tyler Prescott. I think you met my wife?”

She nodded once. “I did.”

“Good.” He was cold as expected and wouldn’t let his guard down for quite some time, if ever.

“Hi,” Tyler offered her a small smile.

She took a step closer to me but reached her hand out. Brow cocked, he extended his hand, shaking hers. He withdrew it, sliding it into his pocket.
