“Obviously,” he continued, “Jade’s dancing tonight.” He nodded at her. “Like I told her, same routine as last night,” he twisted to her, “keep it the same,” he reiterated. “I don’t want any surprises. They don’t believe anyone showed.” He nodded toward Ice Man and Nico.

“Sounds good to me,” I agreed. My heart raced and my cock stirred as I pictured Jade dancing on stage, and I mentally prepared myself for whatever was to come in case anyone showed up. I knew that if I had disagreed with her plans, she would’ve done it anyway because she was independent. Rocking mindlessly in my chair, I propped an elbow on the armrest. “I might have just hired Gia as my PA.” My words hung in the air like a weighty secret.

“What?!” Jade gasped, her eyes widening in surprise.

“Excuse me?” Ian interjected sharply, his brow furrowed.

Tyler darted his gaze back and forth between us all as he shifted in his seat.

“The construction workers came by and since Gia’s been helping me with Luxe, it just slipped out,” I explained, trying to diffuse any potential disagreement.

Ian folded his hands together on the table. “I told you to hire another assistant after the last one.”

“I know,” I sighed, rolling my eyes, and glancing over at Jade for support.

“I adore her!” she chimed in. “I love the idea!”

“You won’t get weird about it?” I asked cautiously, raising an eyebrow at her.

She crinkled her forehead in confusion before bursting into sarcastic laughter. “You work with hot, naked women. If you were going to cheat on me, you would’ve done it by now.” Laying her hand on my thigh, she leaned in close. “You know what you’ve got at home and how I?—”

“Okay!” Ian cut in abruptly, causing Jade to stiffen and turn toward him.

“Sorry,” she snickered, running her nails lightly over my thigh.

“Just keep an eye on her,” Ian continued. “I don’t trust her right now, but I do trust you and I know you guys wouldn’t have her staying in your home if you didn’t think she was somewhat trustworthy.”

“Of course.” I squeezed Jade’s hand in reassurance, changing the subject before Ian’s brain exploded. “Any word from Kieran from work today?”

His expression darkened. “Not yet.”

Throughout the day, we received numerous deliveries filled with an abundance of supplies to create a comfortable and secure environment for the children. The new nannies, Emily and Zoe, had played an integral role in organizing everything with meticulous precision. Ian and Jenna were thoroughly impressed by their interactions with the kids and their efficient management skills, so they quickly hired them both.

The first room, which also served as a media lounge, had grey plush couches that were strategically placed to double as beds if needed. They were wide enough to accommodate naps without having to transform into a full bed. On one side of the room, a large flat-screen TV hung on the wall for entertainment. Along the back walls, three twin-sized beds dressed in luxurious bedding awaited anyone who preferred traditional sleeping arrangements.

The second room was for creativity, equipped with three gaming systems connected to smaller TVs scattered around. Two desks sat side by side, each with its own computer. In the center of the room, a square table surrounded by four chairs provided a designated space for writing, art, or any other creative activities the kids might enjoy. An arts and crafts station had been set up, complete with drawers and cabinets overflowing with brand-new supplies: PlayDoh, clay, paints with brushes and folded easels, markers, crayons, and even dress-up clothes.

The third room catered specifically to the younger children, filled with age-appropriate toys and activities. The setup mirrored that of its neighboring room, but on a smaller scale. Tables perfectly sized for little ones lined one side of the room, while several toy chests brimming with their favorite playthings were carefully arranged around the space. It was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered to ensure the utmost enjoyment for our kids.

Tonight, before the club opened, I headed upstairs and found Luke standing in the doorway of one of the rooms, watching Maddie and Zoe at the table. He had a protective, fatherly look on his face as he observed the new employee.

“I promise the kids will be safe,” Jenna whispered with a faint giggle at Luke. “You look so angry.”

“I’m not angry.” Luke denied, rolling his eyes as he spun around. “I need to get downstairs and handle a few things.” Snaking his arm around me, he pressed his lips to my cheek.

“Can I speak to you for a second?” I asked, but before he could reply, my phone vibrated between my breasts, and I took it out. “Ian.”

Jenna and Luke both reached for their phones simultaneously, pulling them out of their pockets. “Office,” Luke muttered, leading us toward Ian’s office.

Ian was perched on the front edge of his desk, gripping it. Tyler and Chance were side by side, arms crossed high on their chests. Normally, Chance would’ve had a smirk or something on his face, but all amusement was wiped away and that was when I knew tonight wouldn’t be peaceful in the least. Damnit.

The moment the door clicked, Ian strode around to the back of his desk, picking up his pack of cigarettes, lighting one. “You’re going to want one.”

Luke glimpsed me, his hands sliding deep into his pockets as he murmured, “Just tell me what’s going on.”

Ian looked at Tyler, arching a skeptical brow.
