“Should I post all five of these now?” he asks. “I don’t have many followers since my account is so new.”

“Yeah, post them all,” I say. “I’ll log into Sweet Cheeks’ Instagram and repost them in our Instagram stories. Give it a few hours. You should get a ton of views and new followers after that.”

I do exactly that. When I finish, I set my phone down and catch Tyler looking at me. Sincerity shines bright in his mahogany eyes.

“Thanks again, Tori. I wouldn’t have had the guts to do any of this without you.”

“I was happy to.”

He steps forward, closing the space between us. We’re barely a foot apart. He takes my hand in his. “I’m serious, Tori. No one believes in me like you. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

All the nerves in my body are crackling at the feel of his firm hand holding mine. And the sound of his voice…god, when his voice hits that low, rough register, I have to fight to keep my eyes from rolling to the back of my head. That soft growl of his is like sound porn.

I swallow back the saliva that’s suddenly pooled in my mouth. For a long moment, we stand like that, until the air between us starts to feel electric.

And that’s when I realize Tyler is about to kiss me.

Butterflies are shooting off fireworks in my stomach in anticipation. I’ve kissed Tyler before. I shouldn’t be this excited.

But I already know this kiss isn’t going to be like that first kiss. That first kiss was amazing for sure, but there’s an invisible current buzzing between the two of us right now, telling me that this kiss isn’t going to be lips only. It’s going to be a proper kiss with tongue. And it’s going to rock my world. I can feel it in my bones.

When he starts to lean his head closer to me, my clit pulses.

Wow…has that ever happened before? Has just the anticipation of a kiss made my lady bits go this wild?

Nope. Never.

His hot breath ghosts across my lips.

The sound of both our phones blaring with text alerts jolts us apart, shattering the moment.

I grab my phone at the same time Tyler does. I see a bunch of texts from Theo, Maya, Gage, and Becca from the group text that they started for everyone who’s part of their weddings.

Theo: Just wanted to see how many of you are still coming to tomorrow’s game so I put aside enough tickets

Gage: Ah damn, I’ve gotta work. Next time though

Becca: I can’t make it either, dinner with my parents. Sorry Theo! Sending you all the good vibes for a win!

Theo: No worries. Thanks, Becca!

Maya: I’ll be there, of course ;) Tyler and Tori, you’re still planning to come, right?

I remember that I told Maya the other day that I’d go to Theo’s game with her.

I glance up at Tyler and take in the way he’s frowning at his phone screen. Hockey is the last thing on my mind right now. The only thing I’m thinking about is how Theo and I almost kissed a minute ago.

“Theo’s game. I forgot,” Tyler says, still frowning at his phone.

Part of me wants to tell Tyler to forget about the game and tell him to kiss me.

But the heat and tension from minutes ago are fading fast now that both of our phones are beeping with texts and we’ve been pulled into this group chat.

“Are you still going tomorrow night?” I ask.

He looks at me. “Yeah, I’ll go. You?”

I nod. “Yeah, I told Maya I would.”
