I stowed my phone away to see Killian eyeing me warily.

He moved to get off the bed and I took in the sight of his very hard cock, his piercings glinting with his movements. As he went to reach for his pants on the floor, I told him, “Not so fast. We’re not done here.”

“What?”

I pushed off the bed and I rounded it toward him.

He jolted as I reached out and ran my fingers over his cock head, tugging teasingly at his piercings. He jerked under my ministrations.

“Ash… ungh… fuck.”

“Want me to stop?”

The conflict in his eyes was a most wanted challenge to my beast, that thing getting off on his uneasiness, on how satisfying it would be to make him lose it all over my fingers, to hear him beg for it from me.

But it wasn’t about that right now.

This was about Aurora.

I pulled my hand away, his little whimper at the loss music to my ears. “Our woman deserves a proper welcome home, wouldn’t you say?”

He hesitated. “While you’re like this, I don’t think it’s the safest idea.”

The door opened before we could continue down that path and Jonah walked in with just a pair of his neon-blue tight boxers on, all that rippling muscle and ink on full display.

He took in the scene quickly, then settled his gaze on me.

Guilt and worry flared in his eyes.

Before it could be spoken to, Aurora stirred and we all turned to see her sitting up in bed, her eyes locking on each of us in turn.

“Hey,” she said, smiling widely. “You’re all here.”

I strode to the bed and jerked the covers off, tossing them away onto the floor.

A little gasp escaped her. “Asher… what—”

“You didn’t get your welcome home last night.”

“I… oh. Are you sure you can… in your state of mind, isn’t that—”

“Fucking dangerous?” Killian interrupted. “Hell, yes, it is.”

“I agree,” Jonah said.

“Well, shit,” Killian breathed. “Not backing Ash up for once, here’s a surprise.”

“You think I’m unhinged?”

“You almost killed Lance last night,” Jonah groused.

I walked to him, watching him tense as I did. “That’s a major exaggeration. I merely inflicted a little pain—nothing compared to what he’d had done to me, for the record.” I stopped in front of him. “This is personal—to you. You don’t approve of me being in this state. So much so that you acted out by going to Caleb behind my back last night. You knew he wouldn’t be able to hold out and deny you, despite his promise to only touch you in my presence. You saw how on edge he was and ran with it.”

“And a good time was had by all.”

I smiled.

He was trying to make me jealous.
