LUNA

Sheer panic courses through me and my head snaps to Levi so he can calm me down. No one knows I’m here, so it can’t be my dad looking for me. Then I remember my car is outside. Fuck. I slap my hands over my face. In fact, none of the guys were around when I got here. “It’s me,” I hear Reaper’s voice and relief floods my body like I’ve never felt before. “Is he trying to give me a heart attack?” I whisper-shout but he smiles widely back at me, snorting as he plants a brief kiss on my lips and moves me from on top of him. I mean, if it were Dad, we’d have to deal with it, but I’d rather do it on my terms and not when he finds me in Levi’s room and right under his nose. Adult or not, I’ll always be his little girl. I have to respect that, even if I don’t like it.

“Oi fuckface, open the door!” Reaper hollers, getting impatient.

“Stay there.” Levi whispers and leaves a kiss on my forehead.

“I’m coming ain’t I!” He shouts back, agitated as he grabs some clothes from the chair in the corner of the room, pushes his feet into his joggers, his bare ass is on full show as he bends and pulls them up his thick thighs, while I lie back and enjoy the show he’s putting on for me. “Keep your fucking hair on.” Levi pulls open the door but blocks his entry.

I chew the inside of my cheek to stop my laughter. “About fucking time. I didn’t know it took you that long to pull one off.”

“Why you banging my door down?” I suddenly realize I’m still naked. I quickly scramble from the bed and grab my clothes from the floor, swiftly throwing them on.

“I need to come in.” Reaper states. I’m not sure I like that tone. Reaper is the playful one out of the two of them. The joker if you like. Well, until he’s pushed. But then, if he’s angry, find somewhere else to be. He’s like a bomb ticking quietly waiting to go off. While Levi holds Reaper off at the door, I get back on the bed and pull my knees up, hugging them and resting my chin on top. Levi looks around the door at me then opens it wider as Reaper rushes in.

“Shit’s about to hit the fan, big style.”

“Shit. What shit?” I ask from behind him. My legs drop to the bed and move to the edge of the mattress.

He whirls around, “For fuck’s sake Luna. I didn’t see you there.” Then pauses as realization hits him and glances between us, smirking slightly. “You two are playing with fire, being right under Pres’s nose.”

“Who gives a shit?” Levi fires back. “Now, what did you rush in here to tell me.”

“Guess who’s back?”

Reaper obviously wants to play guessing games today. “My old man.” I say in a sarcastic tone. “No, not him, I killed the fucker. That only leaves one,” I lift a brow as Reaper in question. “Mac?” Levi answers.

“Yep.”

Levi nods, deep in thought, and says, “Then let’s go pay him a visit.”

“No.” Reaper fires back.

“What the fuck you mean, no?”

While Levi and Reaper have a little manly discussion and stare at each other, I slide from the edge of the bed and stand. “Well guys, this has been great, but I really do have a bar to open and I guess I ought to pay my father a visit while I’m here, before some little snitch sees me leave and I have to tell him things he really doesn’t want to hear.” I slide my feet into my flip flops and turn to Levi. “I have to go.” His hands come around my face and holds my head firm as he kisses me. By the time he pulls away I’m breathless. “Now that’s a goodbye kiss.”I state, albeit a little dazed.

“I’ll be there soon. I’ll send one of the prospects to meet you there.” I look at him, should fight him on this? Is there any point would be an easier answer to find. Instead, I let it go and give up. If Mac’s back he won’t back down so instead I agree and smile. “Later, Reap.” I grab my purse as I move toward the door and before slipping out, I check there’s no one around and head for my father’s room first.

As I reach his door, I rap my knuckles on it but there’s no answer so I walk around to his office. As I look through the glass, I find him inside with his feet up on the desk and talking to Liam. Tapping the window, I wait for Dad to look up and give me a rare smile.

His finger crooks and calls me in before he drops his feet to the floor and sits up straight. “Hey.” I greet him as I enter.

“Luna, what do I owe the pleasure?” His smile doesn't match his tone, I’m glad to say. He always acts like he doesn’t want me here.

“Hey Liam.”

“Hey yourself. Everything okay?” Liam answers with a question.

“Yeah, just thought I’d pop in and say hello. I sit in a chair and fold my arms across my chest.

“Is there a problem?” Dad asks warily.

“No. Why does there always have to be a problem when I come to see you? Can’t I come and see my dad without there being a reason?” My head cocks..

“Of course, but judging from your past visits here there usually is a reason.”

A heavy sigh billows from my lips and I turn my head the other way. “Well, there’s not.” I huff, “I just can’t win with you, can I?” I shouldn’t have come here. I should have just left, but then someone would have mentioned me being here. I look my father in the eye again. “Please go on with your conversation.” I wave between them, “Don’t mind me.”
