“Evie found the mole. Let’s go get the woman and get our babies home,” I growled.

We shifted, a few warriors joining us at the gates, and I relayed everything Bells told me to Markus and Jo. Neither knew who Paolo’s mother was or why she was passing on information to Tezcatlipoca.

There was no one in or around the restaurant, but I could still smell Cory’s scent on the ground around the back. I growled when I saw two syringes where his scent was concentrated, remnants of a purple liquid I knew only too well was wolfsbane in the barrel.

Kara sniffed at it and prodded it with her nose, and when she did, I felt the all too familiar jerk of my gift. Markus and I were transported back in time to watch Cory inject both needles into his body before Paolo knocked Evie out, then put Evie and Cory in his car and drove away.

I came back to the present with a snarl. Kara turned and began sprinting toward the pack grounds.

‘Tuli, wait for us. We don’t know who this woman is. We don’t know if she’s dangerous,’ Markus mind-linked.

‘She’s not more dangerous than me,’ I snarled back angrily at him, not slowing down a bit.

‘I’ll follow you,’ Markus said once he realized I wasn’t stopping. ‘Reach out to Nat and ask her where they live. They’ll want to be there for the questioning. I’ll reach out to some warriors to meet us there.’ He cut off the mind-link before I could respond, so I contacted Nat. We were already on Crescent Moon pack grounds and headed toward the bridge that separated our two packs.

‘Nat, do you know who Judy Martinez is?’ I asked.

‘She is one of the staff in the pack house. What’s going on?’ Nat’s worried voice responded.

‘Is she working there today?’ I asked instead of answering.

‘Yes. I think so. What’s happening Celeste?’

‘Paolo took Evie and Cory. Judy is his mother, and Evie figured out she was the mole. I’m going to find out where they took our family,’ I explained.

‘I’ll call her to the conference room,’ Nat growled.

‘No. If Paolo didn’t already link her, she’ll know we figured her out and bail. Just find out where she is right now. I’m not letting her slip through our fingers. I’ll be there in less than five minutes,’ I instructed.

‘I’ll figure out where she is and meet you in the foyer.’

‘Bring Theo. I want to make sure she can’t lie to me,’ I growled. There was no saving this woman from my wrath.

‘We’ll all be there,’ Nat assured me.

I arrived at the pack house two minutes later. Nat was standing outside with a pair of shorts and a shirt. Atlas landed next to us and shifted back to Markus, pulling on another pair of shorts Nat quickly grabbed from inside the door.

“I have warriors coming, just in case,” Markus nodded at Nat.

“She’s cleaning the conference rooms right now. I can call her over when you’re ready. I talked to everyone. We’ll follow your lead.”

We walked inside into the foyer. Helios, Theo, Sebastian, Adrien, Elias, Lalo and Kassie were off to the side, waiting for us.

“You’re sure, Celeste?” Helios asked, a sadness in his voice I attributed to the fact that it was his pack members who were responsible for all of these tragedies.

“Cory contacted Bells with the information, then I had a vision of Paolo taking Evie and Cory. I’m sure,” I assured him.

“I’ll bring her out. Nat, have everyone stop what they’re doing and leave the first floor. They can exit through the kitchen. If anyone is on the other floors, tell them to remain in place. I can’t believe she did this. Out of everyone, I didn’t expect it from her.” Helios started walking away, but I stopped him.

“What do you mean? Why wouldn’t you expect it from her?”

“You don’t remember her?” Helios asked, looking over at me in confusion.

“Should I? I’ve never known a Judy Martinez in my life,” I answered. Helios gave me a confused look before it changed to one of understanding, and he nodded in acknowledgment of my words.

“You’ll know when you see her,” he said, walking toward the conference rooms. Steps were heard from the kitchen as people left through the back door at Nat’s request.

Kara was chomping at the bit, wanting to take over and kill the woman who hurt our family and our packs. I wanted blood too, and we would have it, but only once we knew where our family was. Someone walked into the pack house. I turned, seeing Jo and James step inside and join Markus to the side.
