“Do you want me to call Korry?” I offered.

“I’ll do it.”

Tate’s phone rang again, but this time, it was Jared.

“Hey, Jared,” Tate answered.

“Tate, are you okay? I’m so sorry about that leaked picture. I don’t know who would’ve done this.”

“I’m fine, we’re fine,” Tate replied calmly. “I mean, I was going to come out anyway, but this just speeds things up.”

“I’ll have extra security on hand tomorrow. I can’t believe one of my crew would violate their NDA.”

“Is Korry with you?”

“Yeah, he’s helping me look at the photo to see if we can source it. But you know chaotic sets. There’s so many people on site at any given moment. I don’t know for sure if I’ll be able to figure out who took the photo.”

“Can you get Korry to call me or stop by the house? We need a protective detail.”

“Of course,” Jared offered. “And if we do find out who took that picture, I’ll get Aiden on it.”

“Suing won’t turn back the clock,” he sighed, “But can Aiden contact me anyway? With this news, I’m pretty sure Henn will be fielding calls from my brand deals in no time.”

“I’m on it.”

“Thanks Jared.”

“No need to thank me. I feel awful that your privacy, and Reed’s, was violated.”

“Given my experience in this business, I can’t say I’m surprised.”

“Call me later, okay? And let me know if you need anything. Even if it’s just to talk.”

“I will, stay in touch.”

Tate tapped end and threw the phone beside us.

“I’m already exhausted and it’s only eight in the morning.”

His phone buzzed again, and Tate began to visibly shake.

“Why don’t you give me your phone for a while,” I requested and held out my hand.

Tate passed it over to me. I typed out a message to Korry, asking him to drop by as soon as possible. Thankfully, he texted back right away and said yes, he was on his way.

“Korry’s coming over.”

Tate was silent, staring up at the ceiling.

“Come on, shower time,” I urged him.

I got off the bed and held out my hand to him. Tate took it and slowly got to his feet. I stepped into his arms, holding on tight, reassuring him in the only way I could.

“Tate?”

“Yeah?” he stared at me with anxious eyes.

“I have to tell you something.”
