Then he turned to Korry. “How about Saturday? We’ve got the next day off.”

“It’s a date.” Korry smiled at Reed. “I can meet you here and we’ll walk over together.”

“I’m coming with you,” I interrupted.

“Come on, Tay,” Reed scoffed. “You hate clubs. You’ll get there and five minutes later, you’ll be grumbling about leaving.”

“I’m going. End of.”

There was no fucking way this handsome Irishman was going out with Reed alone.

Korry glanced my way, and there was a challenge in his eyes that I recognized.

Fuck him. I was never one to back down.

Korry turned to Reed. “Save me the first dance.”

First dance my ass. He was not going to get his hands on Reed.

At all.

“I’m looking forward to it already,” Reed replied with a flirty wink.

“We have to be on set early tomorrow,” I blurted out, reaching over to collect the empty plates. “Not to give you the bum’s rush or anything, Korry, but it’s been a long day.”

“Don’t be so fucking rude, Tay,” Reed snapped back and then glanced at Korry. “You don’t need to go. He’s just being a grumpy ass. As usual.”

“We have a six AM wakeup call and it’s after ten already,” I countered.

“Then you go to bed,” Reed offered. “Korry and I will be fine down here.”

I headed for the kitchen, my hands gripping the plates so hard I’m surprised they didn’t shatter. I opened the dishwasher and began to load it, making a god-awful racket in the process.

If Korry so much as flirted with Reed one more fucking time…

Reed’s familiar peal of husky laughter rang out and I slammed the dishwasher shut.

When I walked back out, Reed and Korry were sitting on the sofa in the living room, in front of the fire.

Don’t make a scene.

I was calm. I was fine.

Until Korry touched Reed’s face.

CHAPTER 21

REED

“Got a spot of gravy on your cheek,” Korry teased as he swiped at my face. “Yer supposed to eat it, not wear it.”

I followed his hand and felt the crusty smear on my cheekbone. Rubbing my face, I managed to, I hope, wipe it all off.

“Still pretty,” he quipped.

Korry was great company. Friendly and funny.

Bolder than his twin, Kiernan.
