Seeing her in a deep conversation with Sugar, I got up and walked over to the bar where Scribe was talking with Enigma as he passed him a drink. But before my brother could drink it, Henley bounded over happily, dragging him onto the dance floor.

A loud whistle caught Enigma’s attention and he smiled, laying his towel on the bar, before heading out to the dance floor as well.

Leaning against the bar, I watched while my brothers all smiled at the women in their arms as they moved them about the dance floor.

I would give anything to be out there with her in my arms.

My dream girl, that is.

While I knew Sarah was only trying to help, there was no way I could ask Claudia. She didn’t like me. Not like that. I wasn’t confident like my other brothers. I couldn’t just walk over to her and ask her to dance. If she said no, it would crush me.

No. I wasn’t taking the chance.

It was better this way.

As long as she didn’t know how I felt, I could go on loving her from afar, and God help me, I did love her.

My dream girl.

A cut above all the others.

She was perfect and no other would come close.

Never would.

“Dance with me, Frank?”

Turning quickly, I found myself staring into her familiar blue eyes. Eyes so blue, I felt like I was drowning. Her scent wafted around me, enveloping me in a sea of lavender and mint.

God, she was stunning.

Gulping, she took my hand and smiled. “Just one dance, big guy.”

Reaching for Scribe’s drink, I downed it before my dream girl pulled me onto the dance floor.

Fuck it.

It was only one dance.

What’s the worst that could happen?

Chapter Six

Claudia

All pretense was gone.

Reason and logic left five tequila shots ago, along with dignity and respect. Not that I had any, anyway. With as much as I drank, I should be catatonic.

But was I?

Nope.

I was about to take a ride on the wild side.

Ride being the operative word.

Maybe it was the liquid libation giving me the courage I didn’t have before. Maybe it was the fact that I hadn’t had sex in months. Or it could be because Frank looked so fucking adorable with that goofy grin on his face. Either way, I was getting me some, even if I had to hog-tie Frank to the mattress to do it.
