Jason’s smile widened to an ear-to-ear grin. “In fact, it would. If you’re ready for another baby. Anthony has been a handful and?—”
“I want another one. I love having a family with you.”
His heart swelled…along with other, less noble parts of him. But his life was complete, and the woman in front of him, who wore his ring and bore his name, was absolutely the reason. “I love having this family with you, too. You’ve made me so happy, baby. I’m grateful every day that you came back.”
She teared up. “I’m grateful every day that you refused to let me go.”
He cupped her cheek. “You know why. I love you. I loved you before I even knew I loved you.”
“And I loved you all along.” She stood on her tiptoes and pressed a kiss to his lips.
“Happy second anniversary, baby.”
“Here’s to fifty more.”
“At least.” He smacked her backside playfully. “Now get upstairs and get ready for me. I can’t wait to hold you, wife, forever.”
