How can we not be staring at her? She looks good enough to eat.

I adjust my cock in my pants and move to the living area to sit on the couch.

“Just getting up?” Dylan leans against the countertop. The stench of him rides the air over to me and I scrunch up my nose.

“That shit you smoke is disgusting. Go change your shirt or something. It’s all over you.” I wave my hand in front of my nose.

Seth gives him a dark look. “I told you about carrying that shit in here. Go on. Change.”

Dylan puts his beer down with a frown. “I can’t help if it clings to me.”

“You can change your damn shirt when you’re done,” I snap as he makes his way to the stairs.

He passes Seraphina on the stairs as she comes down and her nose crinkles. “He likes to smoke pot, huh?” She waves away the smell and makes her way to the living room where I am, sitting down on the recliner across from me. She folds her legs beneath her and pushes her hair behind her ears.

“No different than having a beer after work,” Seth says. “Except it fucking stinks.” He gives Seraphina a pointed look. “But you don’t touch the shit, understand?”

She looks taken aback. “Why? It’s just pot. You just said it’s no worse than having a beer.” She runs her fingers through her short tresses working out a small knot. How fitful was her nap?

“Because I said so. That’s why.” Seth looks up the stairs as Dylan jogs his way back down. “And don’t you give her any of that shit either.” He points a finger at him in warning.

“All right. All right,” Dylan grumbles. “You’re grumpier than usual. What’s eating your ass?”

Seth flicks his gaze from Seraphina to me. He heard my conversation with Lucas. This lack of movement is getting on both of our nerves.

He grabs Dylan by the neck and pulls him close, kissing his cheek. “Just don’t give her any of that crap. If you do, you’ll both see the tail end of my strap.” He gives another squeeze and lets him go, picking up the vegetables and sausage and bringing them all back to the fridge. “Let’s go. I’m not cooking tonight. We’ll grab some pizzas and bring them back.” He pulls his truck keys from his jeans.

“Pizza sounds great. I haven’t had it in so long.” Seraphina covers a little yawn.

Lucas brings his book to the living room and sits on the recliner beside her.

“You should go to bed early tonight, you look exhausted,” he tells her.

“I’m fine.” She leans toward him, picking up the book in his lap. “Farm and Workshop Welding?”

“Easy reading?” I joke, grabbing my phone from my back pocket. A text message comes through from Hunter.

“Just because I’m older doesn’t mean I can’t learn new things.”

“I know.” She smiles gently. “I’m not teasing you; he is.” She jerks her chin in my direction. “Maybe you should tell him what you told me earlier.”

I look up from my phone just in time to see the blush bloom on her cheeks. Again, I adjust my position. This girl is making it damn hard.

“No, babygirl,” Lucas says softly. “Those rules are just for you.”

Her blush goes deeper.

I groan. Hopefully low enough no one heard me.

Carter’s chuckle behind me tells me someone did.

“I know what you mean, man.” He slaps my shoulder. “I’m going for a run while they’re out. I’ll be back in time for pizza.”

I check my screen again. “You might want to wait on that,” I say, passing my phone to him.

“Well fuck.”

“What is it?” Lucas asks.
