Page 16 of Loving Gabe

“Nope,” Nolan says glaring at us.

“Seriously?” I say while sitting up, keeping myself covered but looking at all of my brothers standing there with shocked looks on their faces.

“Why should we?” Chase asks, crossing his arms over his chest.

“I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to see our little sister naked,” Hudson says, sounding reasonable. It’s hard to believe that the only reasonable one is my biker brother.

“Fine, but you get two minutes,” Chase says, glaring at us before they all leave the room.

I take a chance and look at Gabriel.

He looked at me with a determined, but concerned expression.

“Are you okay?” he asks, looking deep into my eyes.

I nod my head, grab a shirt from Gabriel’s dresser, and slip on my underwear. Since we weren’t in my room anymore, I didn’t have any of my clothes. I tried on a pair of sweats and tightened the drawstring as much as I could. They were still pretty big on me since Gabriel was a muscular and tall guy, but they would have to do.

Honestly, I was terrified about going out there and confronting my family.

What if they change his mind, and he suddenly realises that this was all a terrible idea? I would be back to square one.

I shake my head from the thoughts and take a deep breath before I open the door and head into the living room to where all five of my brothers are sitting with scowls on their faces.

Gabriel grabs my hand and sits me on his lap on a recliner.

Inside, I’m giddy with triumph that this is a good sign.

My brothers stare at us with slacked jaws.

I raise an eyebrow at them. “Well speak,” I say. No one says anything for a long time.

“When did this happen?” Dylan says.

“How did this happen?” Nolan says at the same time.

“I think it’s about time,” Theodore says with a smile.

“I didn’t need to see that,” Hudson says, being a bit more reasonable.

“You fucked my little sister,” my final brother, Chase, says, but he’s glaring at the both of us.

Out of everyone, he seems like he’s the angriest but, given that Gabriel is his best friend, I guess that is to be expected.

“We didn’t just fuck. Don’t talk about her like that. You may be angry, but she is still your sister,” Gabriel says in a hard tone. I can’t help but grin at the protectiveness in his voice.

“I don’t get why you think this is any of your business. We both are consenting adults, and who I sleep with isn’t any of your business,” I tell them in a serious tone before leaning back against my new man.

“You’re our sister,” Chase states like it’s not obvious. I can’t help but roll my eyes at him, which earns a chuckle from Hudson.

“That may be so, but that doesn’t mean you can tell me who I can sleep with. Sure, you are my brothers, but Gabriel is practically family and you all love him. I don’t see what the problem is. I know for a fact that all of you have dated some pretty questionable women in your time.”

Gabriel just tightens his hold on me to let me know that he agrees with every word I have said.

“Well she does have a point,” Hudson says before nodding his head and rubbing his chin in thought.

Nolan smacks him on the back of the head.

“Fuck, what was that for?” he grumbles while looking at Nolan.
