Page 21 of Loving Gabe

I nod my head. Hopefully everyday won’t be like this. “Let’s just get some sleep.”

He kisses me softly before laying behind me, spooning me.

Is this something I can get used to? How often is this going to happen?

The next day, Gabe leaves for work looking extremely tired, so I decide to make him some lunch and bring it to his office.

The assistant they all share eyes me up and down when I get to the building. She never really liked me. Even though I have barely come here. Whenever I did, it was to see my brothers. I could never figure out why she didn’t like me.

“Chase is busy,” she states with a sneer on her face.

“I’m here to see Gabe,” I tell her with a smug smile.

This time when she eyes me, the hatred flashes in her eyes. “I don’t think he has time for you either.”

I ignore her and head to his office, not bothering listening to her protest. I open the door. He’s on the phone, but his face lights up when he sees me.

“I will have the contract sent you today,” he says before hanging up.

“Sir, she just walked in here. I tried to stop her,” his assistant says, batting her eyes at him.

“It’s okay. You can always let her through,” he says dismissing her.

She scoffs quietly so he doesn’t hear it, but I do. I close the door as Gabe walks up to me and pulls me into his arms.

“What you are doing here, baby?” he asks, looking down at me.

“I brought you lunch since you had such a long day yesterday,” I tell him, holding up the bag of food I had made for him.

“Thank you, baby,” he says before pulling me in for a kiss.

The kiss quickly becomes heated, but we are interrupted by the door opening.

In walks Chase.

“Gross, I don’t want to see that,” he says, covering his eyes.

“Then don’t look. I can kiss my woman whenever I want,” Gabe says with a grin.

I like that he calls me his woman.

“I wanted to see if you wanted to head out for lunch,” Chase says before uncovering his eyes.

“I brought enough for all of you,” I tell my brother.

Chase messages Nolan, Theo, and Dylan that I brought lunch. They all come running in.

“There was no need to run. There’s plenty,” I say laughing.

“We needed to get our helpings before Chase ate everything,” Nolan teases.

I nod my head in agreement. Yeah, Chase is like a human garbage disposal. He can eat and eat; I don’t think I have ever seen him get full.

“Plus, Aubrey makes the best meals,” Theo says while rubbing his stomach.

“I really do,” I say modestly.
