Aubrey is in my arms, soft and tired from all the orgasms tonight. She is everything I have ever wanted, and I realise now that this feeling was missing from every other relationship I have had.

I never felt this need to take care of anyone else.

Aubrey is the only person who I want to take care of. As she leans against my stomach, her eyes are closed but she has this blissful look on her face. I want to help her get that look as much as I can throughout our lives.

I slide my hand down to her stomach and think about how, one day, I would like to have more than just her to take care of.

I just need everything to settle down. Everything feels so hectic. Juggling time with my girlfriend, the company, and my friends is not always easy. It all seems to be coming at me at once and I feel like I’m always letting someone down.

I have barely seen Aubrey the last few weeks. By the time I get home, she’s already in bed. Some nights I just sleep in the guest room, so I don’t wake her up. Everything was supposed to be easy after I got the girl of my dreams, but this is harder than I thought it would be.

Aubrey is the one person I don’t want to let down. We just need to make it through this slump.

We have to.

I won’t even entertain the option of losing her.

She’s mine and always has been.

Now that I have her, I wasn’t going to ever let her go.

Chapter Twelve

Aubrey

The next morning I’m deliciously sore. There is a smile on my face. Last night was a good night. Even though we were out at a public event, I knew I had most of Gabe’s attention.

There is a note on the bed and a single white rose.

Baby,

You are perfect. I wish I could spend all day next to your sexy body.

I ordered you lunch.

Treat yourself today.

You deserve it.

Yours,

Gabe

I sigh as I take in the words. I don’t need to treat myself, but I am not opposed to getting out of the penthouse.

The lunch he ordered is from one of my favourite Thai places.

I eat and scroll through my social media before getting ready to head out. Scrolling social media always bums me out. Everyone is out there doing things and having a life, and I am sitting at home like some kept woman. I have enough videos done for my vlog that I don’t need to worry about recording for a while. I just need to upload one each week.

I’m determined to get a life as I leave the place and head out to find something to do.

I can’t let the loneliness squeezing my chest win.

I head out to a couple shops but, after a couple of hours, I get this feeling of being watched. Chills run across my body.

I stop and look around the busy street, but no one seems to be paying me any attention.

I decide to head into the coffee shop a few feet ahead and get my caffeine fix.
