Page 66 of Loving Gabe

“Scared the fuck out of us,” Chases says when it’s his turn.

“Is it over?” I ask him.

He nods his head. “I’ll tell you about it later,” he whispers.

After he says that, I know there are details he would rather not say in front of Aubrey and his parents.

Once I start getting tired again, Aubrey kicks everyone out of my room and sits back beside me.

“You should go home and get some rest,” I tell her as my eyes start to close.

“I’m not leaving you here,” she says in a determined tone. I know better than to argue with that tone.

Honestly, I didn’t want her to leave; but I wanted her to be comfortable. I love her and I love having her by my side where she’s supposed to be.

After a number of days in the hospital, Gabe is being released. I already have everything set for his return at the penthouse.

My family and our friends are in the living room when Gabe and I walk in.

I smile when I see everyone.

“That’s some welcome home,” Gabe murmurs.

I take him to sit on the couch, since I know walking and standing takes a lot out of him right now.

“They all wanted to see you,” I tell him with a shrug.

“They saw me each day in the hospital,” he says with a chuckle.

“Everyone is just glad you are okay,” I say.

Caleb walks in the room and grins when he sees Gabe. “Glad you didn’t die. I would have had to keep your woman company,” he says with a wink.

“Like I would fucking leave my woman in your hands,” Gabe says with a growl.

Caleb chuckles and puts his hands in the air. “Don’t worry; I have my eyes set elsewhere,” he says before looking around the room, probably for Nolan or Bill, but his gaze stops when he sees Greg and his eyes turn heated.

“Well, hello. Who is that gorgeous creature?” he murmurs quietly.

Gabe coughs out a laugh. “That’s my assistant.”

“Hmmm… don’t mind if I do,” he says before walking over to Greg.

I shake my head at him and look over to Gabe. “That guy doesn’t have a very long attention span.”

Gabe chuckles. “No, he doesn’t, but as long as he doesn’t try to get in your pants again, I don’t care where he sticks his dick.”

“I think he’s going to make things pretty exciting around here,” I whisper to Gabe.

“Oh, he’s going to shake things up alright,” he says while looking at Caleb who is saying something to Greg that makes Greg blush.

I let out a sigh as I snuggle closer to Gabe.

It’s good to be home and in Gabe’s arms again.
