Sloane mumbled incoherently, occasionally saying my name. The rest of it I couldn’t understand. Her breathing grew labored, and I knew she was getting closer. I gave her breast one last final tweak, and that was enough to send her over the edge.

She came with a scream. Her inner walls milked my fingers as I continued to pump them in and out of her. I waited until her orgasm had finished and removed my fingers one at a time. Then I guided my member to her and entered her in one shallow thrust. I pushed into her slowly, burying myself inch by inch.

Her eyes flew open. Her hands went to my shoulders, and she moaned as I began to move inside her.

She rolled her hips against mine. “I’m already so close again, Lincoln.”

“Good. I want you to come on my cock this time.”

I caught her lips again, thrusting my tongue into her mouth. I slid my free hand around her other thigh and lifted her up, pressing her firmly against the wall so both her legs were locked around the small of my back. I held her there, tightly, giving her no choice but to rise and fall with my movements.

I buried myself to the hilt, moving slowly, deeply within her. She clung to me, grasping me tighter with her thighs. Her fingers curled through my hair, combing it away from my face.

I reached between us, finding her clit again, and pressed my thumb against it. She screamed, and I caught her cry of pleasure with my mouth as she came again.

I thrust a few more times before I followed her over the edge, spilling my seed as I chased my own release. Then I held her against the wall for a while, letting the warm spray wash the worries of the day away.

We stayed together, joined, kissing each other softly until the water turned cold and we had to get out.

I grabbed a towel and handed it to Sloane. “Let’s go downstairs and check on our clothes and then find something to eat.”

I’d vaguely heard the dryer chime a while ago.

Sloane’s belly grumbled in agreement, making us both laugh. She wrapped a towel around herself and followed me out the door.

I padded back out into the hallway and took the stairs a couple at a time, hurrying to the dryer. The shower had warmed me, but this house was freezing. I couldn’t wait to grab my pants and get them back on.

I opened the dryer door and pulled her things out first. They were nice and hot. I handed her back her stuff before slipping my boxers and jeans on. Then I tossed the towels in the washer. We’d figure out what to do with those in a bit. I grabbed her hand and took her into the kitchen.

My own stomach rumbled, and I pointed to the cabinets in front of us. “You take those, and I’ll take the ones over there.”

She patted her belly and let go of my hand. “I’m starving.”

“Me too.” I hadn’t had anything since the oatmeal Sawyer had brought me. I’d eat anything at this point.

I opened a few cabinets and came up short. These people had an absurd amount of pots and pans. I looked over my shoulder to see if Sloane was having better luck. She was standing in front of a cabinet, just staring vacantly into it.

I closed the distance and peeked over her shoulder. It was a cabinet full of glasses. “Everything okay?”

She shut the door slowly and put her hands on the counter, spreading her fingers over the purplish-black granite. “I’m just worried. What if that isn’t my mom?”

I closed the cabinet she had been staring in and pulled her to me, kissing her temple. “We won’t know for sure. Did you think of anything you could ask her?”

I let go of her and went to the next cabinet. Bingo. It was full of cereal and canned goods. Her eyes lit up when she saw what I’d found.

She shifted on her feet before pulling out a bowl and some spoons and sliding them across to me. “There are a few things.”

I pulled out a few cans of canned ravioli and held them up for her to see. “Let’s eat and we’ll talk about it.” I set the cans down and started digging through the drawers for a can opener. I’d just found one when I felt the familiar hum of our bond.

Sloane gasped, her gaze darting to me. I glanced around until I found my twin.

Sawyer was at the opposite end of the kitchen, his eyes wide as he took in our surroundings. When he saw the both of us, he let out an audible sigh and closed his eyes as he sagged against the countertop.

Sloane’s feet smacked against the tile floor as she ran for him and threw her arms around him. She kissed him on the lips before burying her face into his neck. “Thank goodness you’re okay.”

He pushed her away and gave her a grim look, making the smile slip off her face.

His brows dipped into a deep frown as he looked between the two of us. “Where are you?”
