“For what? I didn’t do anything,” Sam said with a grin.

“I think your being here was enough. Every month, I have the same problem with him. Addison smiled. “What can I get you?”

“Nothing for me, but Tessa needs a prescription filled.” He grinned.

Addison frowned and looked at Tess. When Tess handed her the prescription, she looked at it, then back at Tess.

“You’re pregnant again?” she asked in a low voice.

“Yes,” Tess said with a big grin on her face.

“Congratulations to you both,” Addison said.

“Thanks. We’re thrilled to death,” Tess said as she looked at Sam.

Addison sighed when Sam winked at his wife.

“I’m so happy for you,” she said, wondering if she’d ever have children. That was two pregnancies within a few days. She was happy for both couples, but realized how much she wanted a baby. Stuart had wanted children too, but it never happened for them.

“I’ll get this filled for you,” she said, then walked to where the medicines were stored.

As she filled the prescription for Tess, she couldn’t help but look at her and Sam. He had his hand on the back of her neck. As Addison watched, he leaned over and whispered something to Tess. Addison grinned as a blush moved across Tess’s cheeks and Sam kissed her temple.

They were a great couple, and Clifton loved them. Sam was an excellent sheriff, and Tess was a fantastic veterinarian. Addison took her dog to Tess. They had a two-year-old daughter named Genevieve after Sam’s mother. This was their second child.

“Where’s Genevieve today?”

“My parents are visiting, so she’s with them, being spoiled,” Sam said as he shook his head.

“Oh, please. Like you don’t spoil her, Sam Garrett,” Tess said with a laugh.

“That’s Sheriff Sam Garrett,” Sam said, grinning.

Addison laughed as Sam shrugged. Then she filled the prescription, handed it to one of her staff to ring them up, and started on the next one.

Sam paid for the medicine, and they left the pharmacy after waving goodbye to everyone.

“Hey,” Kinley said from beside her.

“Yeah?”

“Did Cody ever call you?”

Addison smiled. “Yes, he called the other night.”

“So, is he sticking around?”

She looked at Kinley. “He just bought a house here.”

Kinley smiled. “Wonderful. Are you going to go out with him?”

“We’re going to dinner once he gets back from Helena. He had to go back to pack things up. He said he’d call once he returned.”

“Fantastic. Get that man in bed,” Kinley said with a wink.

Addison gasped. “For God’s sake, Kinley, is that all you think about?”

“Is there anything else?”
