"Say my name again." He instructed, but I refused to give him the satisfaction. Hitting me with a deep, long stroke left me with no choice, and he knew it too by the slick-ass grin he had on his face. Vince was having too much fun, but my annoyance didn't last long.

How could it be when I had this beautiful man fucking me so well?

“Hmm,” I moaned out, biting on my bottom lip.

"Let it out, baby. I want to hear you tonight,” he said, his lips touching my ear, sending a jolt of electricity through my body. This was everything, and the feeling he provided was too good to be true.

Vincent wasn’t mine, but at least I could pretend tonight. “Yes, baby!”

“You know I like it when you say my name.”

“I’m about to cum!”

"You better say my name when you do." And sure enough, it only took one more stroke for me to cream all over his dick. "Vince!"

"Shit baby, you got me ready to cum too." The juices glazing his dick sent him into overdrive as he quickened his pace. Thankfully, he remembered to pull out because my life was complicated enough.

I didn’t know what I wanted or who I wanted it with. Lying next to Vince felt right despite the intensity of his stare. He could see me, the best and worst parts of me. He didn’t run from them or make me feel less of a person because of it. Tyson and I got married for all the wrong reasons anyway. What was the point in fighting for it? But there was a part of me that wasn’t ready to give up on my family, even if Vince had just given me world-class dick.

Chapter Twenty-Four

“We gotta head to my parents’ house. I need you to get dressed.” I announced, walking into the kitchen.

For somebody who refused to go anywhere else but my house, Solana had been giving everybody her ass to kiss. I looked over at Hailo, supervising Christian eat breakfast, and she shrugged.

“You hear me talking to you?” I asked, and Solana continued scrolling on her phone and taking bites of her food. I tapped her temple a few times, forcing her to swat at my hand. “I know you can hear.”

“I’m not talking to you.”

“Too late, you just did.”

“Here’s a final thought before I go back to ignoring you. I want my husband, and until he’s home, I have nothing to say.”

“Give Gianni a break. He’s on your side,” Hailo voiced and finally came to my aid.

“Don’t make excuses for him, Lo. When you were at the farm, he was running around showing his ass until he got you back. Now it’s my husband, and I’m supposed to say okay.”

“You and this marriage shit,” I groaned.

“My marriage shit is a lot realer than any of the ones around here,” Solana declared.

“Really Bitch! Why did I catch a stray?” Hailo fussed.

“Don’t say shit to her. If she keeps it up, I’ll make her ass a widow,” I threatened. Solana’s attitude made my own home feel unbearable the last few days.

“I could already be one. I haven’t seen Quest in days, so who knows what I am.”

“Get dressed so we can go. Both of y’all.” I said, leaving them in the kitchen before I strangled Solana’s ass.

I wasn’t looking forward to this family meeting, but Uncle Lucas insisted because he hadn’t seen or spoken to Solana since their last fight about Pierre. At the time, I didn’t understand why Solana got so upset, but if she were indeed married to Quest, as she said, that would make sense.

“Solana is pissed, and I can’t say I blame her. What are you going to do?” Hailo asked, joining me in our bedroom.

“Like I would tell you, traitor.”

“Seeing how she hates all of you, I’m your only lifeline, so you might want to let me in.” Hailo threw a pillow at me, but I caught it thanks to my quick reflexes.

“Give it to me straight. What do you think about Quest?”
