“What the fuck you mean it got hit?”

Before Morgan could explain the details, Solana turned the corner, and I was just thankful she had clothes on.

“What the fuck is she doing here?” Morgan yelled, jousting his finger in her direction.

“Don’t worry about it. What happened at the casino?” I asked, trying to refocus Morgan, but he was still grilling Solana as she stood firmly with her arms folded, examining him back.

“I couldn’t even order the food. Your girl is blowing you up,” Solana said, holding my phone.

“Don’t start that shit right now,” I fussed, setting my gun on the shelf and walking over to her. Bella wasn’t relevant, and according to Morgan, I had more important problems.

“So nobody is going to answer me? This bitch is the enemy, and you up here-.” Solana whipped her head around, glaring at Morgan.

“Who the fuck are you calling a bitch!” She snapped, charging toward Morgan, but I quickly intercepted.

“Chill for me, Princess.” I insisted, holding on to her waist.

“He needs to chill,” Solana muttered through gritted teeth.

“Princess? You’re calling her ass, Princess!” Morgan was losing his shit watching Solana and me so intimately.

“Shut the fuck up and watch your mouth!” I yelled over my shoulder. I could feel the anger coursing through Solana, but I was only one person. “Go in the room, order your food, and let me talk to him for a minute.”

Her chest was still heaving, shooting daggers in Morgan’s direction. Finally, Solana turned around and stormed off down the hallway. I waited until the door shut before I got into Morgan’s ass.

“What is wrong with you?”

“What the fuck is wrong with you?” He repeated, poking his index finger into my chest. “Solana Meraux? Really nigga. That’s what you’re doing now.”

“Yeah, I am, and I’m not asking for nobody’s permission either, so get over it.”

Morgan chuckled while rubbing his hand over his low cut.

“Which means her people don’t know y’all are sneaking around playing house. What the fuck do you think is going to happen when they find out?”

“That’s my problem to worry about.”

“We’re blood! Your problems are my problems.”

“Just like yours became mine, right? None of this would be an issue if you weren’t handing out fuckin’ money like the check cashing place!”

“Now you’re throwing shit back at me. This bitch already got you losing your mind!” Morgan threw his hand in my direction like I hadn’t already warned him about calling Solana out of her name.

I rushed Morgan, gripping his shirt for leverage as I pinned him to the wall behind us.

“You don’t have to like Solana, but she’s mine, and you will respect that until I say otherwise.”

Morgan shoved me back to create separation. “You’re losing it, and now ain’t the time. We got shit to handle, and I need to know your head is in the game.”

“My head is always in the game.”

“We gotta go. I’ll fill you in on the way.” Morgan said the first thing I agreed with all night.

I needed to get down to the casino and figure out what the fuck was going on. It was only a matter of time before word spread, and Tyson, Mack, and Gianni wanted answers. Walking down the hallway, I found Solana sitting on the bed with one foot tucked underneath her.

“I gotta head out,” I announced.

“Okay.” Her voice was soft and understanding as she stood up and began moving around my bedroom, collecting her things like she was getting evicted.
