“They are more comfortable than contacts,” he replies. “More...sexier.”
I laugh at that.
“Yeah, I would most certainly agree,” I say. “Definitely more sexier.”
“I’ve got a late birthday present for you,” he says.
I shake my head.
“What, August? No. You don’t need to get me anything.”
“I know, but I want to do this for you.”
“Fine, then,” I say. “I won’t turn down a present. What is it?”
August brushes a loose strand of hair behind my ear before he replies.
“We need to get on the helicopter waiting upstairs.”
“Wait...what?”
