“His answer is logical,” Creed adds, laying in his spot on the couch. “I don’t like the answer and I don’t want to play nice but I’d rather not have the label more involved in our shit if we can help it. Our contract is only for the next six months and then we are free. We can keep our heads down that long can’t we?”

“There’s having to play nice with her and spending all our damn time with her. You’re awfully close to that second one, Gun,” I groan, not liking how this conversation is going on. “If things change you will tell us,” I demand knowing I need to take control back over this situation. “I won’t let you fall back into bad habits. That girl is toxic as fuck for all of us.”

“Understood,” he nods, jumping off the stool. “I’m going to the gym to train. I’ll see y’all later.”

I watch him walk out the door before turning my attention to Creed. He came to me earlier asking about him acting weird and the second Gunner gives a reasonable excuse he backs down and takes his side. The fuck?

“Nope, nuh uh,” he starts, rising to his feet immediately. “I can see that look in your eyes, Bas.”

“What look?” I retort, making sure to keep my expression neutral.

“You’re pissed I didn’t back you up more with Gunner. It’s not my problem anymore,” he raises his hands as he slowly backs away. “His answers made sense and that’s all we can ask of him. We both know he will do whatever the fuck he wants. The more we push him on something the more he is going to fight us back on it. I say we let shit play out for now and step in if shit gets to be too serious.”

“You’re not supposed to be the reasonable one here, Creed,” I grumble. “Fine, we can play this the way you all want. When shit goes to hell in a handbasket don’t come crying bitching at me about it.” I turn on my heel, grab the full bottle of whiskey sitting on the table, and carry it back toward my room with me.

“Don’t you dare drink that whole thing, Fucker! You need to be in top shape for the show!” He shouts behind me.

It’s like white noise. I’m already tuning him out not wanting to hear it. I need some alcohol to quiet my mind and find some peace. In two days' time, our lives are going to be up on the stage once more. The place I used to find my solace in. Let’s hope it will still be that for me, but I’m starting to think it’s impossible.

Chapter Sixteen

“Guys, I promise I’ll be over as soon as I get ready,” I grumble, trying to pull out of Creed's arms. Every time I move and try to wiggle free, he just tightens them around me refusing to let me go. “The longer you hold me hostage, the longer I’ll take to get ready.” I change tactics hoping the threat of me being out of their eyesight for longer than necessary will convince them to let me go.

“I’ll just break down the door,” Gunner calls out from where he is seated on the couch in their dressing room.

Rolling my eyes, I choose not to answer him. I know he would do precisely that. The guys have been struggling a lot recently. Just last month, another note showed up in my room causing me to withdraw and hide. Then Freddy tried to get handsy with me right in front of Sebastian, which went exactly as expected. It took me promising some dirty things for Sebastian to calm down and not kill the man.

If we made it through this tour it would be a miracle at this rate.

“Ten minutes that is all I’m asking for,” I beg. There was no way I was going to perform in front of thousands of people wearing sweatpants and Creed’s t-shirt.

“Let her go, Creed,” Sebastian demands, joining the rest of us in the main area. “Princess can take care of herself and knows exactly what will happen if she isn’t back here in ten minutes as agreed.” His voice had the one tone I couldn’t resist; already my panties were soaked and he barely did anything. He didn’t say it but if I wasn’t back in ten minutes then he got to punish me tonight.

I’ve always loved his punishments. Knowing the veiled threat hangs there, makes me want to be late. The last time I was behaving like a brat through a fancy dinner at his parents, his punishment was to tie me up and spank me until I begged to come. It was amazing and freeing. I doubt he’d do the same thing again but he knows with him, no limits exist between us. Never have I said my safe word.

“Ten minutes,” Creed leaned down to whisper in my ear before his arms released me. I was too lost in my thoughts of Sebastian to notice he let me go at first. “Tik tok, Computer Genius. You’re wasting time.”

“Fuck,” I mumble under my breath, bolting out the door.

The walk from their dressing room to mine was short, just down the hall and on the right. Within thirty seconds, I’m entering and slamming the door behind me. “Ten minutes, Sky. You got this.” Rushing over to where my clothing rack is sitting, I don’t notice the note. That’s my first mistake.

Running my hand along my clothes, I let fate, or whatever you want to call it, help me pick my outfit for tonight. I want to make the guys salivate when they see me. My hand stops on a black lacy bodice. The piece is revealing, to say the least, leaving nothing to the imagination. The guys would hate it but also love it.Perfect!Moving to the bottoms next, I know if I’m going with a revealing top, I might as well round the outfit out and go full slutty rocker. Quickly, I grab a pair of ripped black jean short shorts and a pair of black fishnet leggings.

Throwing the clothes on, I move to my make-up stand. I only need to touch up my eyeliner and put some lipstick on. Then I’ll be set. My hair is already pulled back into a high ponytail that I have every intention of leaving. It was absolutely horrible to have my hair get caught in my guitar strap because it would pull, and I would just end up with a migraine that would make the concert seriously lacking and disappointing.

Before I even start my make-up, I see it–another note set up, waiting for me on the little coffee table in the center of the room. I should have ignored it; I knew that after the last ones, but something about it still pulled me closer. Carefully, I picked up the note. It was too late, though. Something red smeared onto my fingers. Knowing there was no going back, I open the note.

You think yourself so clever, ignoring all the other notes.

Not this time, my beautiful Skylar.

You’ll be mine. I promise we are fated to be.

This blood belongs to someone who touched what was mine. Next time, I may not be as kind.

~Yours Truly, Amore
