I can do this.

~~~~~
“Could you two just shut up please!” Valentina hisses at the same time I hear someone smacking someone.
The noise sounds distant but I’m too tired to pay much attention. I hadn’t heard my alarm on the computers go off yet, which meant I could afford a little more sleep. Tuning out the noise I roll back over and let sleep claim me once again.
The passage of time was a mystery to me after I had heard Valentina scolding someone earlier. Hell, I was actually positive it was a dream because there weren’t two people that she would allow in our room, especially not without telling me. So when I open my eyes and see two men sitting at the table across from my bed staring at me, I almost let out a startled scream.
“What in the hell are you two doing in my room?” I question, debating if this is reality or not. I’m hoping it isn’t but I already know it is. For some reason, Valentina let Creed and Gunner into our room and she is suspiciously absent.Damn that woman and her meddling.After I deal with them I’ll need to remember to get on her about letting unwelcome guests into our room.
“You know exactly why the two of us are here, Sky,” Gunner answers for them. His brown eyes darken as they follow the same path the sheet that had been covering me mere seconds ago just took.
“Yo, buddy,” I snarl. “Eyes up here!”
“You’re the one who gave us a show. I can’t help but look,” he murmurs, not bothering to hide the fact that he hasn’t taken his eyes off my chest.
It’s not like I can help the fact that it’s cold in this room. I went to sleep with my hoodie on but when it got too hot I took it off. The last thing I expected to wake up to was the two of them in my room. Had I known, I would have left the damn thing on to keep myself covered. Instead, I’m now left here with a thin as fuck cami covering me and it’s not even doing that considering my nipples are sticking out from underneath it.
Rolling my eyes, I stop bothering like their staring has any effect on me. It does but that’s not something I want to think about especially with them sitting in my room and Creed having just fucking my brains out the night before. “What do you both want?” I ask again, getting us back on point.
“Answers,” Creed explains. “I know you left things out of what you told both of us. We’ve been comparing notes all night. So now we're here to get the whole damn story from you.”
“Jesus fuck!” I snarl, throwing the covers the rest of the way off me as I jump off the bed and grab my hoodie off the floor. “How stupid could you be to openly discuss this shit where anyone can hear!”
Rushing around the room, I check all the normal spots a bug could be hidden and I grab the meter to see if there are any in the room I could have missed. Valentina and I are pretty good at making sure we keep the room cleared, and I know we just checked it last night but you can never be too cautious.
“The room’s clear, Genius. We wouldn’t have said anything if it wasn’t. Valentina checked us over and the room before leaving us here while she went to get coffee. So, instead of losing your damn mind, how about you start giving us answers,” Creeds answers coldly. Long gone is the guy who used my body last night giving me pleasure I missed. In his place is the man I broke, the one who rightfully hates my guts and should.
“You two aren’t going to drop this are you?” I mumble defeatedly. Seriously, I’m over them being so pushy but I also know I can’t keep doing this on my own no matter how much I want to. I don’t have any leads and they’ve been around a lot longer than I have. They see more than I did from behind a computer watching them.
“No, Sky,” Gunner answers.
Before he can say anything further my computer finally beeps.Saved by the bell.I sigh and shove them out of the way so I can get behind my monitors. “I’ll explain right after I check this. Then you two need to leave me the hell alone. No one can see you in my room like this. You’re fucking up everything.”
Chapter Twenty
Relief.
That was the only thing I could think about after having spent all morning rehashing the past five years with two of my ex-boyfriends. The whole ordeal was taxing on my body. Valentina knew she wasn’t safe from my wrath when she returned with coffee and breakfast. The second I slammed the door shut, kicking them out, I turned on her.
Her argument was logical. She’s right in the sense that they know everyone employed by the band and record label better than I do. Each of them had something helpful to add to my investigation, but that didn’t make any of it easier. Now we had more questions and less answers. The opposite of what I was hoping for. Neither of them believe that Freddy is involved in any way, but I can’t shake the feeling that we’re missing something with him.
He is the only link I have to someone being able to get into my dressing rooms when the band first started touring. I told the guys I would drop him as a suspect, but that was alie. I knew I would be making a phone call to Knox for a little bit of help in getting answers. If I can’t find them on the internet, then I need to take another approach. This approach is one I know I’m not capable of doing myself, so the backup is going to be needed.
There’s only a couple hours before the tour buses leave for the night to head to our next city. Sitting in this room isn’t going to do my mind any good. I’ve done as much as I can for now, which means I need to get out and clear my mind.
Usually, I would be all for going to walk in the park, but I doubt Valentina and Rome are going to be cool with that, especially considering how rowdy the fans have been knowing I’m back with the band. Rumors have been circling. The press has been insane trying to get answers on why I disappeared and where I went. None of the stories they’ve concluded are right, but I’m also not bothering to correct them. Anything is better than the truth. However, it all means I can’t go outside without escorts.
Fuck.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Valentina scolds as she walks out of the bathroom.
Damnit. Of course she would catch me red handed.
Releasing the door handle like it burned me I spin and press my back against the door as I look at my friend. “Uh, just out for some fresh air.”
“Sky,” she sighs, shaking her head. “You know you can’t; the fans are too crazy.”
