Loki leaned back in his seat, feeling his adrenaline start to pump. “And why would I need to pay for anything? What are you doing here? Didn’t Noah ban you for a month?”
“Not letting Noah O’Ryan tell me what the fuck to do in my town.”
“Again, Gary, you don’t own the town. Just because your granddaddy used to own a big patch of land before he upped and lost it to all those loan sharks doesn’t make you royalty or special,” Easton drawled.
“Shut up, you bastard. Why don’t the two of you fuck off? Go home and suck each other’s cocks. That’s what you all do, isn’t it?”
Loki sighed. “And so what if we do? No fucking business of yours.”
“I knew it! You’re fucking each other!”
“Has he always been like this?” Easton asked.
“I think he’s getting worse. Somehow, he’s losing more brain cells.”
“Shut up.” Gary glared down at them, his pupils blown.
“Fuck, what have you taken?” Loki asked.

“You better leave, Gary. Before you get yourself arrested. Again.”
“I’m not scared of the sheriff. Where’s your little bitch? Trouble in paradise? Or is she waiting for a real man to come home and service her?” He grabbed the crotch of his jeans.
Fire lit Loki’s veins and he tensed, about to stand.
“How about you leave?” a deep voice drawled from behind Gary. “Before I call your boss and let him know that you’re looking for a fight again. Heard you’re on your last warning.”
Gary whirled and Loki saw Remy standing there. He looked calm, but there was a tic by the side of his right eye and his jaw was tense.
“How about you fucking mind your own business, redneck.”
Loki snorted. “Redneck? Seriously? What’re you?”
“My grandfather helped found this fucking town!” Gary yelled. “I own it.”
“Gary! Get the fuck out of here or I’m calling Ed!” Noah stated, coming toward them with a scowl.
“Leave,” Remy said. “And you talk shit about Isabelle again and I. Will. Ruin. You.”

Watching Gary scurry out of the bar was pure gold. Didn’t mean that the stupid bastard wasn’t going to be a problem again. Maybe he’d settle down for a few weeks, though.

“You should,” Remy said in a deep voice.
Noah turned to Loki, who nodded. He’d always been against banning Gary. It felt like he was throwing his weight around. Doing it because he didn’t like the asshole. But he was going too far now.
“Consider it done.” Noah grinned. “I’m going to enjoy this.”
