There was no reply.

Frowning, she moved out of the office and into the living room, coming to a stop as she saw a woman standing there.

How the hell had she gotten in here? Did Loki leave the front door unlocked? Remy had lectured them to hell and back about locking the door at all times so she didn’t think he would have.

The woman looked familiar . . . where had she seen her . . .

“Hello? Can I help you?”

“You know, you shouldn’t leave a key to your house in your glovebox. Anyone could break into your car and make a copy of it.” The woman held up a key.

Wait . . . what?

“You . . . you broke into my car?” Her mind raced. “I didn’t leave my car unlocked. You broke in and got a copy of my house key.”

“Yes, you dumb girl.”

“Who are you?”

The woman strode farther into the living room.

“What do you want?” Isa asked.

“What do I want? I want you to stop chasing after my husband and making up lies about him.”

Then it clicked.

The parking lot. Shawn. His wife.

“You’re Shawn’s wife.”

Okay, she understood why the other woman might be upset. But it shouldn’t be Isa who she was angry at.

Unless Shawn told her that it was all lies. No doubt he had.

“Listen, I don’t know what Shawn’s told you. But I told the police the truth. Shawn assaulted me, he attacked me. And that’s the truth.”

“Oh Shawn doesn’t tell me anything. He thinks I’m just some pretty arm candy that he can keep in the dark. But I know about all the women. The ones who chase him. Who want what belongs to me.”

“I don’t want Shawn,” she said.

What was she even talking about? Women who chased him? If anything, it was the other way around. But as Isa studied her, she noticed the manic look in her eyes. And she got the feeling that this woman wasn’t going to listen to a word Isa said.

Fear flooded her.

All she had to do was keep her calm until Remy got here.

“Don’t lie!” the woman screamed. “I know you encouraged him. I know you want him. He’s attractive, rich, successful. Why wouldn’t you want him? But you can’t have him. He’s mine.”

“You can have him,” Isa said quickly. “I don’t want him.”

“Lies!” the woman yelled.

Okay, so reasoning with the crazy woman wasn’t going to help.

“I know everything! I’ve seen the photos of you! I know that you’ve been spending time with him.”

What was she talking about?
