3 Months Later

Anthony asked me to move in with him today! His apartment is like triple the size of mine, and I’ve been there a bunch of times but I didn’t expect him to want to move me in so soon. Don’t get me wrong, I said yes immediately. Well, more like squealed it and then practically rode his dick with my mouth after.

Face fucking and acts of service are my love languages, what can I say?

After we calmed down, we decided to go out for lunch to celebrate. We’ll start moving more of my things up to his penthouse this weekend, but for now, we don’t rush.

It’s a beautiful day in the park, the sun is high and shining, and the sky is so blue that it doesn’t even seem real. Eating pizza at the tables here instead of in the crowded restaurant was a great idea. I like going out a lot more when Anthony is with me.

“My brother wants us to start having family dinners on Sundays,” my boyfriend says, having just finished his second slice of our pepperoni pizza.

“Really?” I ask, surprised. Austin is a pretty quiet guy from what I’ve seen, I didn’t expect him to be the sentimental type.

“Yeah well, he’s getting married to his assistant I guess.” He shrugs, looking confused but not exactly concerned. “I never thought he was into her, but they’ve apparently been dating for three years.”

“Seriously?” I ask, surprised. “He didn’t tell you he was in a relationship for three whole years?”

“I don’t think they were always… romantic.”

“Ooooh,” I say, bobbing my head in understanding. “They started off as fuck buddies and it got serious. That’s nice though, I’m happy for him.”

“How do you feel about marriage?” Anthony suddenly blurts. My jaw hangs open and I set down my food, trying to think of an answer.

“Like how do I feel about the concept or do I ever want to be married myself?”

“Both.”

I swallow thickly. “Good and yes,” I admit. “But for the right person, I could be okay with not getting married. How do you feel about it?”

“The same,” he says, breathing out like he’s relieved to hear it. “And kids?”

I hide a smile. “Kids are cool.”

“Kids of your own? Kids you adopt?”

“I’m not picky,” I say, shrugging. “If kids happen, they happen. I’m not sure what the future is willing to give me, but I have this guy I really love, and if he wants kids, I want them too.”

Anthony can’t smother his responding smile. “This guy… you know he loves you too, don’t you?”

“Oh, I know,” I agree, smirking. “He asked me to move in with him.”

“Before saying the ‘L’ word?” Anthony asks, scrunching his nose. “Must be some guy, forgetting to let you know first.”

I reach out, threading my fingers with his. “I got the gist.”

“I love you, Milo,” he tells me, giving me a proper declaration. “You’re the best thing to ever happen to me.”

“I love you too,” I whisper, voice thick with emotion. “I’m so fucking happy my stove was broken.”

He grins and it’s so stunning. “Me too, babe. Me too.”

I lean in, kissing the side of his face. Yeah, we’re that couple that shares one side of the table and I fucking love it.

After we finish eating, we crush the pizza box to discard it in one of the many park garbage cans and start to walk back home. Only, a frightened little sound stops us in our tracks.

A broken meow is playing on a slow loop, coming from a nearby tree. Without even thinking about it, Anthony and I head straight for it. My stomach gives a nervous twist until we find the source. A small, midnight black cat is seemingly stuck on an oak tree branch, crying out for help. It’s not tiny enough to be a kitten but it’s certainly young and most definitely scared.

“Oh my gosh,” I whisper, hand flying up to cover my mouth.
