“Oh, okay. Yeah, I can do that.”
“Write it down,” he urged.
Her fingers quickly flew over the keyboard, and then he said softly, “It says we’re supposed to establish what happens to the collars when our relationship ends.”
Her stomach dipped at the thought.
“Well, they’re yours, so I guess I’ll leave them with you.”
Although technically she only had one.
He shook his head. “No, I want you to keep them.”
It was depressing that they were discussing the end of their relationship before it even began. Still, she typed out that she would keep the collars.
“Anything else?” she asked.
“We’ll revisit this in a few weeks, but I think it’s a good start, don’t you?”
“I do.”
“If you think of something, write it down so we can be sure to talk about it. I’ll do the same.”
She nodded in agreement.
“Now, go get dressed. We’ve got some shopping to do.”

“You know that scene in Pretty Woman when Edward takes Vivian shopping? It was like that, only when we were done, instead of me going back to a hotel in a limo, we went grocery shopping.”
“Oh my god!” Amy squealed over the speaker phone. “I love this so much! Who would have thought your mother-of-all hacks would lead you to true love! This is going to be the best story to tell your grandkids!”
“Whoa, whoa, whoa!” she told Amy as she stirred the red pasta sauce on the stove. “This ends in four months. Don’t get crazy.”
“Hmm… four months is an awfully long time to live with someone and not fall in love.”
Tell me about it.
She was already halfway there, and it’d been, what, not even two full days?
“We have an agreement in place. With rules and everything.”
“Is one of those rules, I won’t fall in love?”
Utah put a lid on the saucepan to keep it from splattering everywhere as it bubbled. “Well, no. But I think it’s implied.”
“I’m just saying you don’t have a Dom-sub relationship without a lot of trust and communication. Not to mention, he’s spoiling you. How can you not fall in love with him?”
“By remembering I’m doing this to stay out of prison. And that he doesn’t want kids.”
“Well, he could change his mind if the right baby mama came along.”
