“Me, too, Sir.”

Chapter Thirty-One

Liam

There was something about having Utah cook for him that made his solar plexus twinge.

Janice left a dinner waiting for him to heat up four nights a week, but it wasn’t the same as a hot meal fresh off the stove or out of the oven.

And his housekeeper didn’t look at him like his sweet submissive did.

After they were finished with dinner, he poured them each a glass of wine in the plastic wineglasses reserved for when he was outside, and urged, “Go get some towels, baby, and get in the hot tub. I’ll be out as soon as I put these dishes in the dishwasher and wipe everything down.”

And she was so fucking thoughtful; she’d cleaned as she cooked, so he didn’t have very much to do after dinner. He had the kitchen done before she even came downstairs with the towels.

Liam met her at the bottom of the staircase. “I’m just going to grab my robe…”

He stopped short when she held up the navy-blue terrycloth robe that he kept on a hook on the bathroom door—right next to the pink silk one she was currently wearing.

“I thought you’d need this.”

“Thanks, baby.”

He stripped right there, leaving his pile of clothes at the foot of the stairs, then pulled the robe on.

Putting the bottle of wine in a chiller, then grabbing the wineglasses, he wasn’t far behind her after she walked out the family room door. Once on the patio, he quickly deposited the wine and glasses at a nearby table and took the cover off the spa. Steam rose from the water when he pushed a few buttons, causing the jets to whir, and the spa lights to alternate between blue, green, and pink.

Utah dropped the towels on a chair she’d pulled close to the stairs leading into the spa. Then she unabashedly shed her robe to reveal her naked body before walking down the steps into the bubbling water. She let out a soft moan as she sank down so only the tops of her tits bobbed up and down as the jets swirled around her.

He noticed she’d taken her collar off.

Funny how seeing that piece of jewelry around her neck did such primal things to him. But he felt just as possessive about her when she wasn’t wearing it.

Stepping into the warm spa, he handed her one of the wineglasses in his hand, then held his up like he was going to make a toast.

“To a great first day tomorrow.”

Her plastic glass clinked against his with an unsatisfying thud, and she took a sip before asking, “Is there something you’re not telling me?”

Liam dropped down next to her and put his arm around her shoulders.

“No. Why do you ask?”

“It’s just you’ve said twice that I should relax tonight so I’m ready for tomorrow. And now, your toast… I wasn’t nervous before, but I am now.”

He took her glass and set it on the edge next to his so he could pull her into his lap. Her bare pussy rubbed against his cock as she straddled him, making it hard for him to think.

“Oh no, baby. I’m sorry. You shouldn’t be nervous. You’re going to do great.”

“Well, I mean, I thought so, but you seem nervous, so I’m starting to worry.”

Liam realized he was nervous.

He’d put his neck on the line, giving her a position in IT. It had immediately been viewed as making a deal with the enemy, and Riley McCormick, one of the board members, likened it to having the fox guard the hen house.

But Liam had been adamant, pointing out that the hospital would save half a million dollars or more just in consulting fees by giving Utah the job, since she’d be doing it for free. Besides, he’d argued, she knew where they were most vulnerable. And, she’d be working with the IT team, so oversight would automatically be in place. And maybe she could teach them a thing or two.

Plus, if she violated the conditions of her release, she’d be thrown in prison—no trial necessary.
