Page 75 of Loving Liam

“Liam,” I said, my voice stern. “Not today. One more day of rest. Then we’ll see, and no masturbating. I’m being strict on this one today.”

“You’re no fun.” He edged his hand towards his half-hard cock.

“Daddy says no. I will buy that cage, Liam. Don’t push me.”

His eyes lit up at the suggestion, confirming my suspicion he’d enjoy it far too much.

I walked out of the bathroom and gathered my clothes.

“How are you feeling today? Would you be okay if I left you for a couple of hours? There’s something I need to do.”

“I’ll be fine. I feel much better today. A bit embarrassed but otherwise good. Go do what you need to do. I can busy myself here until you come back.” He smirked. Cheeky fucker!

“Don’t you dare.” I wagged a finger.

“I’m kidding. I won’t, I promise.”

I hoped so. Punishing him after his dream last night was the last thing I wanted to do.

Dressed and with coffee in hand, I stood in the kitchen gazing out over the garden my parents had so lovingly tended. They’d not be happy upon their return, seeing the state it was in, but when did I have time to do gardening?

I’d best be going.

“You sure you’ll be okay?” I asked again.

“I will be fine. Go catch the bad guys.”

I leant down for a kiss, tasting his minty toothpaste.

“See you later, sweetheart.”

When I arrived at the station, Sam was on the phone, talking rapidly. He gave me a thumbs up.

What had he discovered?

“So,” he said after ending his call, “I got hold of some CCTV footage. The last visit wasn’t too long ago, and they still had the files. I looked, and it’s her. It’s their sister. Fuck, John. This could be the break we’ve waited for.”

“She could just be visiting. She is their sister after all.”

“Then why would Stuart have lied and said he hadn’t seen her if there was nothing nefarious going on?”

He had a point. “Let’s see what Damian has to say. What time is our visit?”

“If we leave now, we’ll be a little early, but I’m eager to get there, so let’s go.”

He gathered up his notepad and strode out of the room. I followed him down to his car, and we set off. The prison was about an hour’s drive away.

“I take it Liam’s okay if you’re here.”

“He’s fine. A good night’s sleep saw him right, and he’s not bleeding anymore, so that’s good. He’ll be right as rain in no time.”

Sam tried to make small talk, but I was in no mood to discuss Liam any further, and the rest of the journey was quiet, the radio filling the silence.

Apprehension that this could be it ran through me as we waited for Damian to arrive. He walked in with far less confidence than his brother had. Prison didn’t suit him. He looked gaunt and pale, and he was so thin his uniform hung from him.

“Not doing as well as Stuart,” Sam said to him. “We saw him the other day. He’s thriving. You, on the other hand…”

Damian’s dull eyes conveyed no emotion.
