"In an hour, we'll be pulling into Barbados." He kisses my lips and nose.

"An hour?"

"One more hour. So, I vote that we head back to bed until then. What say you, Mrs. Le Blanche?"

I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing him call me that. "Yes, Mr. Le Blanche," I giggle.

Hunter picks me up and carries me right back to bed.

An hour later, we arrive in Barbados and we spend the day enjoying the island. Being in Bermuda was amazing, and I know that the rest of the Caribbean has a similar feel to it, but there's something about this island that calls to me.

The white sand on the beach and the idyllic feel tempt you to stay forever. I don't know how we're going to leave any of this when it's time to head home.

At night, Hunter takes me to a restaurant on the beach. We enjoy a delicious spread of exotic food prepared for us. It looks like something from a movie. There are little dishes in bright bowls that add to the Caribbean vibe.

All I smell around us is an array of exotic spices and other amazing things.

Some of the food is new to me, so I'm anxious about eating it, although it looks delicious. The goal of tonight is to tick off number 24 on my list: to eat something exotic.

"You need to try this first." Hunter holds out something that looks like an onion ring. "It's calamari."

"Calamari as in squid?" I wrinkle my nose at the thought.

"Come on. It's exotic. With one bite, you can cross it off your bucket list."

I laugh. "That's not going to make me want it any more. It's squid."

"This is one of my favorite foods. Come on try it."

I inspect it. It does look tasty with the batter, specks of black pepper and what looks like chili.

Summoning my taste for adventure, I lean forward when Hunter holds it closer to me and take it into my mouth.

The burst of flavor bends me to its will in an instant. The taste is completely unreal.

There's a hint of that chili I saw, along with lime and something else I can't put my finger on. To say it tastes good doesn't feel like it's enough.

"It tastes divine," I blurt.

Hunter laughs. "I told you you'd like it."

"I can't believe I haven't tried this before." I shake my head at myself.

"Make sure you try everything on the table. I got the restaurant staff to prepare things I knew you would like."

I smile back at him, appreciating the gesture. "Thank you so much for doing this for me. This has been the best vacation I've ever been on in my life."

I've been to quite a few different places, but this feels more special, mostly because I'm with him.

"You're very welcome." He dips his head. "It's been fun for me, too."

Yesterday was the day we were supposed to have been flying off to Italy. As much as I adore Italy, this adventure has been better. We've had sun, sand, sea, and all things exotic, and it's been somewhere I've never been before.

"What happens if we don't want to go home?" I laugh.

Hunter smiles. "We still go home but plan another trip as soon as possible."

"I like that idea."
