The Langdon Hotel has hosted many special occasions for the Le Blanche family.
My parents have had their anniversary party here every single year since their marriage. My grandparents actually got married here and when they were alive, they, too, celebrated their anniversary parties within these decadent walls.
Now I'm here tonight for my own engagement party.
I've just arrived and the place is packed. Luna is on her way with Paige.
I've been working in Miami for the last few days, so tonight will be the first I’m seeing Luna since our sexy lunch date.
That day was unreal. I lost my mind again to my ever-growing fascination for my bride-to-be.
After Jericho's discovery, Luna was on my mind more than ever. But for all the wrong reasons.
Instead of thinking about how much more complicated things will become if we stayed together for longer than I planned, I found myself thinking about all the things I’d get to do with her in that time.
Easing into this new situation was essential to my plan in order to have the success I want in the long run. However, my sexual frustration is getting the better of me.
I was already drugged up on lust from tasting the princess in my office, then the restaurant happened.
I don’t even care about that little prick Ryan watching us or being a pain in my ass.
Once again the joke was on me because I wanted nothing more than to take my wife-to-be home and fuck her raw until the world ended.
As tonight grew closer, Luna Bianchi plagued my mind worse than a flesh-eating bacteria with a vengeance. No matter what I did I couldn’t get her out of my head.
Every encounter with her has left me in a state of flux where I’m little more than the helpless sailor knowing he’s screwed because he succumbed to the call of the siren. Yet he still goes back for more.
There is so much to think about, but I couldn’t wait to see her.
And all I have is tonight. I fly to Japan with my father first thing in the morning.
The next time I see Luna she'll be walking down the aisle toward me to become my wife.
I’d rather spend the next few hours repeating the fun we had in the restaurant, but I’m here because I don’t want to disappoint my parents. They went all out to make tonight special.
They loved attending Luc’s wedding, but I’m their son. Their firstborn son. Everything is going to be different for me.
Summoning every bit of self-control, I push my sexual thoughts from my mind and make my way across the grand function hall.
Acknowledging my guests, I see people I like and those I don’t.
Dominic and Kimberly are across the hall by the chocolate fountain, talking to Ryan and another man I recognize from the government office.
It must be the hardness in my stare that makes Dominic look over at me.
The prick tries to look his usual composed self but I can tell from the way he’s looking at me that I’ve fazed him.
God knows what he’s tried to do since our last meeting.
