The alpha laughed, shaking his head. "Fine. Favorite food?"

Elias popped a carrot coated in a disgusting amount of hummus into his mouth, crunching it. "Veggies and roasted red pepper hummus. I'm more of a savory person than a sweet tooth. You?"

Dane smiled. "I enjoy a good steak and potato, but I'm no stranger to slow cooked pasta sauce paired with goat cheese ravioli. I don't like sweets much, but I wouldn't pass up eating you after dinner. Favorite season?"

"Autumn," Elias answered instantly, his face heating up as he tried to ignore the flirtation, but failed miserably. "I own more sweaters than I do suit coats."

"I love winter skiing down in West Sagefield in the mountains. We'll go later this year."

This surprised Elias. Sagefield was completely unfamiliar to him, and he couldn't even imagine what it would be like to go skiing there. He sat forward. "Really? That's interesting. I've never been that far south. My parents don't want me in Sagefield."

Dane's brows furrowed. "Aren't you nearly thirty? I didn't think your parents had any say."

Elias rolled his eyes. "Tell them that. I'm an unmated omega, so, apparently, I'm still their responsibility. They've been that way my whole life."

Dane nodded in understanding. "Hamton elites, I take it?"

"Is that one of your five questions?"

"Sure. Mine are too, ya know."

Elias didn't doubt it. Dane oozed self-confidence, poise, and extravagance, like he was born from it. There was never any question of whether he'd become a successful businessman like his father or mother or whoever he took after. That was the nature of Hamton.

"Mine are both alphas from an old family. It surprised them to have an omega son, but I guess the genes lined up just right from the grandparents I never met."

Dane whistled, low and slow. "Sheesh, you gave me two answers in one. Here's my last question, then. What's your birthday?"

Elias put his elbows on the glass table, pointing a carrot at him with eyes narrowed. "Can you guess?"

Dane made a big show of finishing a second sandwich before looking Elias up and down, one hand rubbing across his chin like he was concentrating really hard. Elias couldn't help the laugh that escaped at that serious look, lips pulling up at the corners.

"I don't normally follow horoscopes or sun signs, but by your dedicated and straightforward nature mixed with a penchant for soft things, you're an Ares. You're big-hearted under all that bravado, sooo… March?"

Elias sat back in surprise. "Twenty-third."

Dane whooped a little and pumped his fist, crystal gaze twinkling. "I'm good. Mine is—"

"Wait!" Elias shouted, embarrassing himself. "I want to guess."

The alpha pulled the potato salad closer to him and picked up a fork, gesturing for Elias to go for it. He checked out Dane, noticing his flawless style - the sharp cuffs, tailored pants, intentional messy haircut, and clean-shaven face. Everything about him was precise, not a fiber out of place.

Elias was admittedly a subscriber to a weekly horoscope newsletter. He knew the common personality traits often associated with each sign. It wasn't a proud point in his business-oriented lifestyle, but no one needed to know.

"You're a Taurus," he muttered, nodding. "So April?"

"You're right on the first point, but my birthday is May seventh."

Elias snapped his fingers in mock disappointment. "Ah, are we both secretly horoscope people?"

Dane went red, and it was extremely noticeable across his alabaster cheeks, making Elias' smile turn into an admittedly pretty laugh, and he bent over at the waist. The alpha watched him, pupils dilating. Dane's scent rose to weave through the air, sticky like honey filling his veins. Slick pooled, threatened to soak his underwear if he didn't get himself under control.

"Fine, I had a phase in high school, but didn't we all? Ask your first question."

Elias took a deep breath and looked up. It brought them so close their noses essentially touched. As they locked eyes, a tangible spark surged through the air, electrifying the atmosphere. He licked his lip, dropping his eyes down to Dane's lips while awful thoughts ran through his head. They were unthinkable. Him licking Dane from forehead to feet, sucking on his cock and listening to the alpha shower him in praise. Elias found it hard to deny himself the chance when he knew how good it felt. Elias' pheromones made every sexual encounter decent, but with the right alpha…

Holy hell, it was fucking hot.

His hole fluttered just thinking about sex. It was embarrassing, but he thought about it a lot. Hence why having three alphas ready to give it to him at all times being a tempting offer. Throwing caution to the wind, Elias angled for a kiss.
