Ace shook his head because, truth be told, Kody had already done the claiming. Of his body, heart, and soul.

“Nah. I need it for me.”

“What?”

“He fucking owns me, man.”

He was Kody’s bitch, and he wasn’t afraid to admit it. The man owned his heart.

Griff’s chuckle had him turning toward the man with narrowed eyes.

“What?”

“Love.” Griff shrugged. “It hits you like a ton of bricks, doesn’t it?”

“Or like a firetruck,” he deadpanned.

Griff shook his head, his eyes gleaming with amusement. “I’m pretty sure you hit that truck and not the other way around.”

Ace grunted and pushed Griff by the shoulder, but he couldn’t keep a smile from spreading on his lips. He had hit that truck and despite the damage to his poor girl, he was real fucking glad he had.

When RK walked up to them, he left the two of them to smooch and walked up behind Kody. He wrapped his arms around him, chin resting on Kody’s shoulder. Kody relaxed against him and put a hand on his arm, thumb caressing absently, as he continued to talk.

He was so consumed with feeling Kody against him and mindlessly listening to his voice as he talked that he missed Jace’s words the first time around.

He drew in a breath and straightened, arms tightening around Kody as he shook his head.

“What?”

Jace cocked a brow at him. “Do we need to order a new cut?”

He felt his lips spread in a wide smile.

Kody looked over his shoulder at him. “Uh… What exactly is a cut?”

The grumbles and grunts from his brothers had him grinning. Kody turned in his arms, brows furrowed and apprehension in his eyes.

“What?” Kody asked.

“He’s asking if I’m claiming you.”

He tugged Kody closer until their chests were pressed together and Kody had to tilt his head back to avoid headbutting him.

“Will you have me?” Ace asked, starkly aware that he was putting his head on the block in front of his brothers.

Kody blinked, a soft look spreading on his face, eyes alight with affection and warmth.

“I don’t think I could live without you,” Kody said, his voice so softspoken he barely heard him.

Ace watched him for a moment, waiting. Kody cocked his head to the side, brow raised but he didn’t speak.

“Uh. I kinda need a yes or no,” Ace mumbled.

Kody shook his head, making Ace’s heart freeze in his chest, and then Kody slammed his mouth over his. Despite the confusion, he met Kody’s kiss with the same passion and need that Kody was pouring into the kiss.

The cheering around them slowly disappeared as he got more and more lost in Kody and his kiss. No one had ever kissed him with so much soul and love as Kody did.

“Was that a yes?” he asked breathlessly when Kody pulled away.
